.22 Cricket2 Tactical with custom SC stock

Just received a .22 Cricket2 Tactical in trade. 600mm unchoked barrel. Previous owner tuned to 900 FPS with Monster RD pellets.
I took the gun out to shoot yesterday, initially at 50 yards, and was very disappointed with the pellet performance. At 50 yards getting a ten shot group inside a quarter was about the best I could do. I did bring some slugs with me, JSB .217 KO and .22 FX Hybrid.
I started with the KOs, and although they shot well, they we only a little bit better than the RDM pellets.

Then I loaded a magazine (14 shots) with the FX Hybrids. BINGO! Shooting them at 910 FPS, all 14 went into a group smaller than a dime. Mostly a 14 shot cloverleaf. So looks like that will be a great little hunter, or PRS gun.
The Steve Corcorran stock was purchased used from another member here on AGN, and its gorgeous. The gun itself is very good, cocking is fairly smooth, but every now and then it over rotates the magazine and I need to manually rotate it back so the slug will load. It did this with both pellets and slugs. Also, Cricket continues to use that "needle probe", which is what I call their pin probe made VERY thin from weak bendable steel. They need to either go to a slightly thicker "pin", or upgrade the toughness of the steel that is used. It bends VERY easily as it is now. I put the 700cc bottle on just for fun, will probably reinstall the original 580cc bottle. I'm curious why with a new model gun Kalibrgun didn't make the scope pic rail 20 or 25 MOA...??? Hmmm, doesn't make much sense.

But back to the actual gun, the .22 FX Hybrid in this gun are as accurate as any slug I've seen from any gun that I've shot. I took it to 100 yards but swirly winds but not enough time to give it a fair shake. I shot about 20 and most were in the 9 or 10 ring of the EBR target and a few in the 8 ring. Overall, disappointed in the pellet (RDM) performance, but thrilled with the slug (FX Hybrid) performance. They aren't high BC slugs, but 0.080 (G1) is much better than any pellet...

Just finished adjusting power upwards. Removed regulator, turned 10 minutes counter clockwise (about 20 bar increase), installed slightly heavier hammer spring, and tightened up valve spring about 1.5 turns (stiffer). Reinstalled 580cc Kalibrgun bottle (I thought the 700 cc bottle looked kinda odd). Filled her up, screwed in the HST most of the way, shot until I got the plateau with the .22 Hybrid slugs, which turned out to be about 980 FPS. Backed off about a turn or so to get right a round 955 FPS. From experience, those slugs like about 940 to 960 best. We'll see this weekend... I'll be thrilled if they are just as accurate (or better) than they were at 910 to 915 FPS! Will probably shoot this gun at the Steel Scramble at EBR, which allows slugs.
