What the Atomic XR is not...

It's not a target or bench gun. Yes you can put a big scope on it and shoot dimes at forty yards. But that's not where this beauty shines. With a small compact scope. It is a pesting and plinking machine. In good conditions the first round hit ratio, from 25 to 50 yards? Is unreal to me, I can repeatedly hit objects the size of a chipmunks head.

My current set up sending Crosman Premiers.
TP setting on low, zero at 25 yards
TP setting on mid, zero at 33 yards
TP setting on high, zero at 40 yards (for 50 yards 1 mil holdover)

Sending JSB Exact Jumbo 18s
TP setting on mid, 25 yard zero
TP setting on hi, 33 yard zero (1 mil holdover @ 40 yards / 2 mil holdover for 50 yards)

All my settings above will, and have repeatedly killed small pests at those distances. All of the above have been confirmed by hundreds if not thousands of pellets down range. When I say my settings? I mean using the Atomic XR as it came out the box... Simply an awesome little PCP that loves to be on the prowl for pests or game.

I have a Brocock XR Sniper in .22. It just loves the CPHP pellets. I am just happy the Brococks seems to like inexpensive ammo. I’m glad you are enjoying your Atomic.
I have the same gun and you’re right about it liking “more affordable” pellets. Mine absolutely loves the Benjamin Destroyers! 🤷‍♂️

Luis, you leave me heart broken and disillusioned. I thought the one-hole groups I am shooting with it set up as a pistol meant it was a capable target gun. Guess all those micro sized groups are a fluke? 🤣😂😅
Fluke? I suspect that you are an excellent shooter. And can probably shoot it better as a pistol than I can as a mini-carbine.🙀 Glad you're still enjoying your Atomic XR, I'm still immensely enjoying mine.

Like Redtick12 said, I also never thought of using the transfer port adjuster to change your zero. I have a Concept XR .22 cal and is one of my favorites!!! I'll need to give this a try this weekend. Thanks for the info! Now if I could find a Concept XR in 177!!!

@rsfrid, those are some seriously tight groups. As I suspected you are an excellent shooter, your groups speak for themselves. Thanks.
I'm just pleased the gun lives up to the attention we all give it. A serious airgun to be sure. The message is, for anyone considering it for pesting or even target shooting, "just get it"!

They had one used at AOA recently. Check their used section.
