The future of Air Arms springers?

If anything is discontinued it’s likely to be the ProSport. It’s the most expensive offering they have and competes on price with PCPs.

It would be a shame but not a surprise.

I was in my local shop. The owner of the store told me on 2 occasions that his Air Arms Rep told him that they are considering axing them. Pretty sure he said the 200’s as well. Scary. Don’t know anything else. Don’t like it. Don’t doubt it. Remember the LGU and LGV.

I hope not, bec that is one of their famous product that put their name in the market

I don't really know however I went on their website to download TX200 manual and could only find under discontinued models???

If they axe the TX200 & The ProSport that leaves us the w/ FWB Sport... Oh wait, no they axed that one already... That leaves us w/ weihrauch jacking up prices on the 97?

Someone tell these PCP peeps that shooting a zero recoil, zero sound 'air releaser' is boring. (Being a bit of a hypocrite here bc my next rifle is prob gonna be a PCP)

It would be a shame if Air Arms stopped making springers. Maybe BSA will bring back their classic underlevers. This time with gas rams offered from the factory.

The writing is on the wall,.....I love springers for what they are but the PCP world now is overwelming, you can get PCPs that shoot twice ( or more as hard ) twice as precise, half the weight and half the sound signature with magazines for half the price of a decent springer,......the market is shrinking drammatically for them.

Take another look, the current version is TX ISS7. The discontinued are issues 6 and lower.

While on the topic I'm guessing we are no longer going to get any new high end springers. The last ones were the LGVs and the FWB Sport. Both discontinued.

Feinwerkbau told me they don't have any plans in the near future to make another break barrel.

I guess we will have to be content w/ weihrauch redesigning the stocks every 8 years.

Don’t forget the Diana Airking and 48. They aren’t bottom of the shelf rifles either.

And half the fun and challenge unless you have a football field to play in or you mostly shoot off hand. I’ll take a springer over my PCP inside 50 yards any day.

Agreed here. My springers are my favorite tool even over my firearms..

And my groups at 35 are often single holes.

First springer , junk yard find Winchester 800 , did ok but hard to shoot broken spring . bought a Gauntlet 1 and a hand pump heavy but accurate. Next Daystate pulsar , then a HW97K tuned by Tony last was a garage oldie HW35
I shoot the HW's way more than the pcp as a matter of fact im going out after coffee with the 97

Not sure what wall you're looking at, but if the "writing" truly was, air gun makers the world over would have already stopped making anything to do with springers and gas rammed guns years ago and focused solely on PCP's...lol.

I'm proud I ordered my lefty TX200 last year, it was worth the five month wait. The price has increased $80 since I got mine too, $930 for an air rifle is a hard pill to swallow for a lot of people.
