Going to 72 pp from mk2 54 pp. Is it worth it?

I am shooting slug so want more power, so decided to get the new 72 pp with the power block. It was $220, not including tax and shipping. B4 upgrading, I tested my gun and it was shooting maximum about 960 fps with 36gr nsa slug. I can turn hammer up but fps won't go any higher. Power wheel is on 4, reg 150 bar, valve fully open, 600mm slug liner A.
After installed the power block and 72 pp, without touching reg and power wheel, I tested with same setting and got like 900 fps. I was like wtf why would my speed drop just by changing the plenum. Then I though maybe bigger plenum of 150 bar is too much for the hammer. So I turn to 5, it was shooting 980 fps. Then I turn wheel to max and it is 985 fps. So I guess upgrading from mk2 pp to 72 pp and power block grain 25 is fps. Not sure if that was worth $220 lol. Just letting other know what you expect for those thinking about upgrading. I was expecting like over 50-100 fps more cause its the power block youtubers been talking about plus larger 72cc pp. Guess I expected too much lol.

It came with a hammer and hammer weight and springs with the package. But it doesn't say tungsten anywhere in the package, so dont think its tungsten. The tungsten hammer is $30 alone. I am not gonna pay another $30 for maybe 5 fps more. Not really sure how much gain from using a tungsten hammer weight. I dont expect much after seeing the power block and 72 pp combo in action.

My take on it that the larger plenum and the "power block" is a marketing hype. You guys will see, you will learn.
I made my own power upgrades, including remachining internals last two winters.
The first and last important thing is to un-restrict the air path. A lot of read about these back in 2020-21.
Impact MK2PP .25 x700mm Superior Heavy, 44gr ZAN 1020 fps @141 bar Reg.
I got to the point that I have now way too much power, I want to move back shooting pellets. Slugs are BS for precision and nobody told me that before I had to learn that on my own.
This last week I had to open up my Impact and removed two washers from HS, but didn't re-tuned the .25 Impact yet.

Upgraded to PB with 720PP, no regret at all/well worth it. First and foremost it does provide more power, BUT I shoot at the same exact speed still. Why is the upgrade good then? Because now my gun is working a little less hard which makes the gun slightly more settled/less violent/stressed. The analogy from car is why drive at your desired speed with a 4 cylinder at 4000 rpm vs a V8 at 1800 rpm? Not that big of difference but with many upgrades on my MK2 since I got the gun the difference in power is VERY significant.

Plus, installing the PB with PP upgrade is basically resealing the entire gun. I've even fully rebuild/replaced my reg with all new reg parts including the seal inside of the block. My MK2 PP is 2.5 years old but now it is basically a newest M3 with MK2 trigger and cocking block plus first reg delete.


EDIT: if you only shoot pellets (especially lighter pellets) at lower power the extra power might be a little too much. Better off just reseal the gun with original orings.
