Just looked at the "leaderboard" and it is apparent that there are really only a few people keeping AGN alive. (joking)

Well, maybe that is too much hyperbole, but if I can only post a few messages once or twice a week and be ON the leaderboard, that should tell you all you need to know. LOL!

Anyway, not a big deal... just something I have noticed since AGN updated and made such information available.

What you take from that is up to you. (grin)

p.s.

Thanks to Michael, et al. for the upgrade to AGN! It was sorely needed and greatly appreciated! Now, GTA ain't got nothing on AGN! (smile)

p.s.p.s

If you don't know how to see the leaderboard(s), click the little down arrow next to "FORUMS" and then click "Leaderboards".

Amazing how quickly one can slip down the leaderboard 😂

I was surprised to see that i have only posted once this month so far! But that’s what happens when real life catches up with you. I am in the middle of a major renovation on my house, so don’t have much time for shooting, much less perusing the forums. Still a great place though.
Yeah, I was going to say something to you about that... (chuckle) :rolleyes:o_O ;) :devilish:

I think SOSH are short for Social media,,,,, but i could be delusional, i am a old fart.
My experience with fora is that there will always be a larger number of visitors there VS actual members. Right now it is 24 members and 50 guests.
Thats also okay if people was forced to sign up to harvest knowledge, i would have to consider what i was doing there then.

First off: quality over content. Second, forums largely a driven by content already created! I think one of the recent improvements here is the search function, and it seems to work while thread posting too which is nice for redundancy reasons. All this to say, there could never be another post on this forum again and it would get loads of clicks per month anyway because there is so much content that has already been created here from users (tutorials, reviews, general knowledge and etc.).

I do think as the sport grows however that this forum will continue to grow and others like it. I grew up on the GTA but sadly it seems a bit dusty over there, and perhaps that is its charm. I think more forums usually means more growth per forum too (cross pollination and so on), but I do think that forums of the past are a dying breed because web 2.0 and new social media platforms are taking screen time away from them. But, and there is always a but, just wait for some crack down on IG or FB for users to realize they need a place to post about their Texan without restriction! I got hit with an account strike at IG because I posted a picture of a Bushbuck 45 last month! This is where/when more open/less restrictive forums grow the fastest.

Well enough of my silly thoughts!
