Shot the three upper groups last night. This morning sent five CPHPs. TP level 2, scope on 12x. Love my Atomic XR and a cup of coffee on a Saturday morning.
Am waiting for the post from you on the arrival of your Atomic or Ranger XR... If you do get one I believe it will quickly become your main backyard pester. From 20 to 50 yards in decent conditions, small critters are in deadly peril. You can stretch it out, but that is not the design intent of the Atomic/Range XR. I know I can get better groups with a larger scope, but the WHT 3-12x44 IR FFP is just too sweet on the gun.VERY NICE
Looks like on Groups 3 & 4, you switched to DeCaff.Shot the three upper groups last night. This morning sent five CPHPs. TP level 2, scope on 12x. Love my Atomic XR and a cup of coffee on a Saturday morning.

@Smitty911, switched from JSB Exact Jumbo 18s to CPHPs. The Crosmans actually shot tighter in this instance.Looks like on Groups 3 & 4, you switched to DeCaff.
Nice shooting,

Haven’t tried it, but suspect the JSBs would out perform “group wise” the CPHPs. While I do post up groups, it’s not how I actually use the Atomic. It really isn’t a bench gun, it’s a little plinking/pesting machine for me. My Bantam Sniper HR is capable of dime size groups and better at 50 yards with the JSBs. The Brococks have proven to be solid performers for me. The only other gun that currently draws my attention is the Evol Mini.Out of curiosity, have you tried comparing groups at your max range of 50 yards for the Atomic between the JSB 18.13gr and CPHP? Which ones hold the tightest groups at that distance?
In this instance the CPHPs grouped better… Not drawing any conclusions. Too many variables, particularly me. But for inexpensive plinking and pests sub 50 yards? The CPHPs are getting it done in this Atomic XR. This little beast has me entranced. I plink with it almost everyday. A truly capable beastie.Luis, super group with the CPHP's! I am very surprised they grouped better than the JSB's...h'mmm...cheaper to shoot thats for sure!
