Not exactly...it is my understanding that FX simply requires that the same die be used for all of their pellet production, not different dies as JSB uses for their own production. Check out Airgun Exploration and Advancement channel on YouTube. Steve Schiele has done factory interviews with FX and also JSB.

I've shot both FX and JSB in two calibers in two different guns and brand of guns. I've found the FX are more accurate with fewer flyers. Also, depending on supplier, the FX are a tiny bit cheaper per round.
I also don't have a supply issue. I keep at least a years' supply of pellets on hand and re-order when opportunities open.
I'm not a hoarder, just a prepper. :oops:

Short supply is in very large part because they're coming from the Czech Republic. So half way around the world in shipping containers, in a transportation system which at least in the US is still seriously screwed up and retailers everywhere are waiting for delivery of shipments. If you take a look at the large east and west coast seaports, shipping containers are stacked in the 100's waiting for trucks and trains to get them on their way.
That's of course after they finally manage to clear US Customs.
H&N ain't any better. Took AoA 4 months to finally get their H&N order to finally fill a pre-order I made in March.

I've found through weight sorting and head size sorting that FX are way more consistent that JSB, at least in 25 cal 34 grain. Lots of outliers in weight sorting JSB. With FX, not so much. Also JSB tend to larger head sizes than FX. This is just my results — yours might be different.

Agree, although I have limited experience with them. From a visual standpoint alone, the FX pellets looked better and did have a slight edge over the same JSB pellets.

Since JSB makes both FX and Air Arms pellets using limited dies, the Air Arms pellets may be just as good.

Not saying the JSB pellets are bad, but the limited dies *should* keep the FX/AA pellets more consistent and that is what I have found to be true so far.

AND... since the cost is identical on PA, I will always order the FX or AA pellets over the JSB pellets unless prices change to the contrary. JMHO - YMMV

If Crosman could have this sort of quality control, they would gain a lot in the market, but that ain't gonna happen... with their guns either... (sigh)

2 different batches of jsb 44 didn't work on my uragan. 30 I could see them spiraling all the way... but the fx 44 worked great.

The AA were a little more accurate than JSB in my Maverick .25. I've never tried FX pellets.

The FX would probably be about the same as the AA. Although I have not tried the AA pellets, they also require that JSB use a specific set of dies like FX. So chances are they will be similar to the FX pellets.

Makes me wonder why JSB doesn't offer their own pellets with single/selected dies. Go figure...

Hell, even the .177 pellets at PA are $19.99 per tin of 350-500 depending on the pellet. Even if you buy 4 to get one free, that is still $15 per tin. And if you buy an assortment, they will always give you the CHEAPEST one free. (sigh) So even if you buy enough for "free" shipping, they still get theirs...
