Veyron 4-16 or westhunter 4-16. Which would you buy?

I’m the market for a compact scope for my dreamline. Don’t want to spend a ton. I’ve owned the discovery version of this scope, and liked it, but at low power the reticle was very thin. I’ve heard the same about these 2 also. With IR I figure I can use that at low power to help the reticle pop.
That being said, which one would you buy?
The veyron has been tested and proven by many, but the westhunter looks to have a better warranty. It looks to be very similar otherwise.

@L.Leon seems to love his westhunter, my buddy matt now has the westhunter 4-16 on his akela and he LOVES the IR on it as it only lights up the dot and with his older eyes (late 50's) he says it really really helps him.

UK,
Saw your WTB for Vector Veyron 4-16, I'll be in the market for one, as well, when Krales gets the Uragan 2 in stock. Had the WestHunter 4-16 on my Wildcat, not impressed with the edge clarity or brightness of the glass. Some kind soul on this forum mentioned Dvor had a closeout sale on the Vector Veyron 3-12x44 FFP for $130, so gave it a try. Was completely blown away by the scope, glass clarity and brightness was something I'd never seen before. WestHunter now sits on the shelf waiting for the JTS Airacuda Max .25. WM

That’s the kind of answer I was looking for. Someone who has had them side by side, like ctairgunner did with the veyron and the ts12x. Thanks for your help guys!!

If only it had IR. I’m worried about the reticle at lower power.

The Discovery has thick outside posts in the reticle — these are well visible when using it at low magnification.
So far I have not lost sight of my crosshairs for shots with a busy background at minimum magnification.

I don’t think they make the discovery Version any more

i have read that the westhunter scopes are a rebranded Discovery optic.
is that true, i have no clue but they do look closely the same.
i have 4 discovery compact VT-3 4-16X44 SF FFP, on various airgun hunting rifles
i have. they have been very good at holding zero along with clarity and focus.
also great light gathering !!
they have discontinued this line. glad i got them when i did.
good luck
