Advice on Fx rifle

Hi!

I have been thinking a lot about getting an Fx rifle, but I having a hard time to decide which one between these two guns (New Fx wildcat mk3 bt sniper and the Fx impact m3 sniper) to buy. what's difference between these two in range and impact. Can someone advice me on which one should I pick and why? going to buy a .177 caliber.

It appears that you are from Norway. I don't know if you have any power limitations in that country, so I would be guessing how to give you accurate advice. In the U.S., shooters have been leaning toward higher power rifles. FX guns have had great success in that area, particularly with larger calibers. Lately, the .22 cal has shown good accuracy for 100 yard shooters and the .30 cal is close behind. The .177 are great, but pushing that one up to higher power with slugs has limited success in my experience. Selection of barrel length is another consideration. Shorter barrels will limit power. I assume you intend to buy the sniper versions with the longer barrels. That way, you can use air more efficiently with lower regulator pressure to achieve a given velocity and get a higher shot count. Either rifle is good. The M3 will allow you more lattitude to tinker with power settings, if that's your desire, but I think either rifles will serve you well. The Wildcat would be a better platform for hunting IMO.

Unfortunately, we are limited to .177 caliber after that you need a firearms license from the police, and believe me it's not an easy process to get it. Otherwise I'd be pick a bigger caliber if we don't have that limitation.

I think same rules applies to other European countries.
Nah Netherlands no restrictions, Finland we have barrels smallest diameter cant be larger than 6.35mm or 0.25 making 250/257 barreled 257 ok. There are some other eu countrys too that are not so strict.
If you plan to do long range shooting without getting proper lisence I would recomend you to buy Airforce line of airgun and rebarrel it to 172 thats why I asked what type of shooting you are planning to do.

Got two M3 Impact and mainly shooting .22 700mm, but supported a friend in setting up his brand new Wildcat M3 BT, that thing is so awesome to shoot and tune, If I had to start over again I would get the Wildcat for one of my Impacts
Can you give me a reasonable reason why should I pick wildcat mk3 BT over m3 and the opposite?

Thanks, but I'm aiming for Fx rifles.

I would not say over the M3 but instead of one of my M3's, and its how powerfull this Wildcat is and how easy is is to change its hammer weight, on the M3 you will need to disassemble the valve and you need to put it together in the exact same length to get the same tune again, and I also believe its a little less hammer/valve noisy than the Impact with its very long valve arrangement, but they are both great guns, and the Wildcat should be the same main platform as the Maverick
But the Impact M3 has the advantage with its valve adjuster which Wildcat/Maverick does not have

Wildcat with a lot of power
