FX guns

Ok, let’s not go full fanboy / hater tit for tat as a lot of these posts do. It’s no secret I’m not an FX fanboy, however, I have bought many of their guns. 3 wildcats, 1 streamline, 1 dreamtac, 1 maverick compact, 5 of these have been sold. Now I finally have an impact coming. As with any other gun I will put rounds through and see how the “feel” of it is. My deal is these guns perform smoothly, but always felt delicate in my hands. The maverick compact has a nice place of it’s own, hopefully the impact proves irresistible. Anyways, no one can fault me for not giving FX a chance! Lol!

What I will say is I have 380mm 22 crown for hunting and LOVE it!!!! This is my go to rifle....I compete right now with a 25 crown in a Saber Tactical stock and I have a 30 cal impact MKII for hunting. In 177 I have a Daystate Huntsman and I just got a 357 Bulldog to play with. I have gone through a bunch or rifles and if I can't 'Meld" with them they are gone....The impact is my least favorite, but every time I pick it up it hits right where I am aiming.

For my needs ranch working, meaning fence work rabbit hunt, water runs bird hunting, cabin work plinking and having fun :p. the M3 could not take the gentle abuse of side x side riding and constant field carry. but my local air rifle gunsmith made me a custom barrel tensioner and it works not 100% relievable but i have tested it at the gun range and tried pretty much any regular scenario field abuse and it only move the POI about 1.5". funny thing is the tensioner seems to bring the point of impact back to almost where it was within 2 shots.

FX Impact M3 600mm 25cal Sup heavy liner.

I have to agree with the opinions saying that the Impact Compact is the best configuration in terms of being the most universal. I love my 30 cal Impact Sniper and really don't have any complaints about it. But, I find myself grabbing my 22 cal Impact Compact more on my own property because of it's compact size and very manageable weight. I love the Compact so much that next month I'm going to build up another one but in 30 cal. I love my Dreamline Tactical too but it's just too long for my needs which is why I put it up for sale in the classifieds.

precisely the reason i sold my dream lite bottle,
it was like carrying around a telephone pole lol

i can lay my compact on my front seat and it doesnt touch anything lol love that!

much easier to not have to put it in and out of the case when driving from one sniping spot to another at the farms i pest at

Friend who lives near me has an Impact. While target shooting at his place we did a "I'll shoot yours & you shoot mine". He shot my Boss & couldn't believe the buttery Smoothness, quiet & ease of comfort & handling on a classic style rifle. I, on the other hand, couldn't get comfortable with the cold "stiffness" , grinding metal sounds (to me) & the weight of his rig. BOTH were wonderfully accurate but I prefer everything about mine & almost nothing about his. To each his own, variety is the spice of life, etc., etc. I don't consider myself an FX FANBOY, more of a "certain type of platform" fanboy. (See thread about Daystate Huntsman)
