So I shot a Grey squirrel yesterday and my puppy ate all the guts. I think he's probably fine but are there any diseases that I should be worried about? Thanks.

Your pup will be fine but now that it's gotten a taste of FRESH, RED MEAT I'd sleep with one eye open

At worst the pup will regurgitate it when indoors. My Jack Russell of course, never does that…

my dog titus ate guts now and then , but he loved to eat squirrels , heck he used to fly where I gutted then and would eat the feet like we eat chicken wings , I got a new dog and he loves wild game , and i always cook liver and hearts for him he just loves it here is a pic of whiskers my puppy
i got him a toy squirrel and am training him to hunt like Titus did , he is a dachhound they were designed to hunt badgers and love meat

Actually it's good for him. Help to build a strong bacteria rich gut that will help protect against pathogens that could harm him. Worrie about him eating things he can't pass or if he has diarrhea for more than 3 or 4 days. Usually dogs that eat the nastiest things are the healthiest ones.

The dog you see to the left is Buck. Had him since March.
He got a rabbit in July and now wants outside every 5 minutes. Won’t play ball, just hunts for more critters.

Your pups ancestors ate more gut piles than you can imagine. A breed that has evolved to not eat guts are the ones who could be in jeopardy if they would.

Yes they were bred for hunting badgers, but what I know of badgers, I have a hard time picturing just how that would go!

Your dog will be thanking you for the extra protein. The only thing I worried about with my dog's were eating the wild mushrooms, which can be toxic to all.

we fed my Show Aussie raw chicken bones and all , if not cooked raw chicken bones do not splinter , which is why people saw do not do that . my Aussie was allergic to something in most dog food . ( or else she was just that smart )

I had a black lab once that ate pocket gophers. He didn’t care if they were fresh or had been above ground for a week. One time my Brittany caught a very large gopher, gave it’s skull a good crunch then left it lay. Lab picked it up and when I went to take it from him he swallowed it whole. After that I quit worrying about what went down his throat.
