My local Scheels had a high pressure Benjamin HPP2K a month or so ago. It was on the top shelf and I inquired how much it cost. The salesman told me $250 I said okay and walked off. A couple weeks later I was in the store again and thought I should probably buy the pump as a back up just in case item to have. I went back by the air gun section and damn if the pump wasn't sold. I thought a day late and a dollar short as always. Well today I was back at Scheels and thought I would just mosey on by the air gun rack again and to my surprise there were two pumps and one had a Final Sale Tag on it the other in the box. The Final Sale Tag was clearance due to missing box the tag says Never Used. I got the pump for $208 after tax out the door. I am really hoping never to use the pump because I have a 60min Carbon Fiber Tank but you never know when the need may arise. I think I did good!

Amazon and eBay have the Chinese/no name brand versions for 30 dollars at times. For insurance purposes those will do for me.

They go as low as 29.99 on sale from time to time. Gamo and Benjamin just put their labels on and charge 10x the price…..all made my the same Chinese guy.

This isn't so much for the OP since you already got your pump, but for all those that are reading this thread, new to PCPs or looking to get a pump.

Been saying this for years now:

in todays PCP world there is absolutely no reason whatsoever to buy a 200-300 bucks pump,....the 50 bucks China pump is just as good if not better.

Yeah I suppose I could have gotten a cheaper pump else where but I could also still be shooting my Red Ryder BB-Gun Santa brought me. I never did shoot my eye out!

I should go pump up a bottle for the heck of it just to say I tried it once. If my kid acts out as a punishment I will have him pump my 4500psi 60 min Carbon Fiber Tank. LOL

My kids gave me the Benjamin pump before I even had a PCP. I used it to fill my Prod for at least 6 months. Works fine. Then I bought an Avenger. The Benjamin only goes to 3000 and the Avenger can be filled to 300bar. So I bought a chinese pump. I'm happy to still have both but I haven't used either in over a year. I think the chinese pump is a better buy but I don't think it is really a better pump. Seem similar in quality but the folding feet of the chinese one and the little filter in it's line plus the ability to go to higher pressure are nice features of the chinese pump.

I think you got a good pump at a very fair price, congratulations!

Thanks. More importantly I got my Beeman Super 12 all packed up and dropped off at FedEx so Allen Z can work his magic. Full rebuild, external fill capability and adding the MKII regulator to my non-regulated rifle. Hope to be back in the pest elimination game again soon. Hope he sticks to his 1.5 month turn around but expecting it to take much longer. Have to use my FX Ranchero until the Super 12 makes it back. Got my eye on the Daystar Alpha Wolf too. Too many toys not enough time to enjoy them!
