RUINED!!!!!

Oh NO! I've done it this time. I love springers. They have soul. There's just something about them. Diana, Air Arms, Wierauch.... Well a few days ago I went and bought an AirForce Texan .510 with all the accessories... and now I've ruined myself for springers. My daydreams are full of PBBA Shotguns, Evanix .50 pistols, I've got Buck Fever a month ahead of schedule, and you would not believe what I've done to my "solid" steel backstop. I think I need a support group. I don't even know who I am anymore.

Yeah, I understand. I have an FWB 124 and an RWS 48, thought springers were the best air rifles ever. Then I started watching Edgun USA (back in the day, now Ted’s Holdover) Man, those pcp’s were awesome and I had to have one. Bought a Marauder about 6 years ago and was satisfied except when I had to pump it up with a manual pump. Then I came across Matt Dubber and started watching his videos with the FX Impact. Yep, had to have one, mines a 25 caliber though. Bought an electric pump which is making them both much more fun to own and shoot!

I went ahead and got the tank and the nomad pump..... filling that tank has been an all day project. I do want to get a hand pump too for that "just in case" scenario. But my goodness are pcps fun!!!

I have and still enjoy both and when I need some humbling for how easily accurate the PCP's are, I grab one of my springers, a tin of pellets and go remind myself of how much fun it can be shooting them and working for the accuracy I know they're capable of.
I'm not a lot of days but I still very much enjoy shooting them :)

A tank is next on my list.

A buddy came over a couple of weeks ago to see the new Impact. I brought out my two springers for us to shoot first and then I brought the PCP’s out. Wow, what a difference in shooting pleasure! Especially after shooting the RWS 48, which feels rather violent to shoot (and has a terrible to trigger). The PCP’s both have fabulous triggers making them so smooth and “soft” to shoot along with both of them being very accurate! Pure enjoyment is the best description.

Honestly my airking pro is super easy to be accurate with, but I also got an AA ProSport recently and THAT thing tests me, yes. In fact, I realize I'm not half the shot I thought I was, and in an hour I'm done and shamefully burying my groups at the bottom of the trashcan....

I broke the pcp seal this year. Bought two, but they cannot replace my HW30 or 95.
I bought the AA s500 22 because I wanted something more powerful. I bought the 1701p because I wanted a pistol in the 500fps range.

Different tools for specific purposes. The problem is I feel that I have more than my true need covered. Stupid practicality streak.

I have about six months to fix my false justification process. But then will it be a springer? Or a pcp?
Don’t know.

I was also telling myself, small game, big game, plinking, etc. Well, it's time for me to admit. I just freaking love them. In fact, when it comes to springers, I still feel like some of them are actually art, and PCPs are tools. But man, they are some fun tools.

Welcome to the dark side, we have cookies!! 🤣

I don't even know who I am anymore.

But WE know who you are!
You are an airgunner.
Well, an airgunner that fell down the rabbit hole, to be more exact.

I think I need a support group.

Yupp. You're right about that.
We all do.

And we found our support group.
You can, too.
It's called AGN.

Welcome home,
Matthias
