FX Impact M3 Compact

I’m fairly new to modern airguns too having purchased an M3 this summer. Mine’s in .22.

From what I’ve been reading, The Impact M3 is not great in .177 - I’d even go out on a limb and say you will have a hard time finding one.

In .22 it’s a ton of fun but it’s also annoying. Lots of adjustments to tinker with so I find myself always messing around with it. I still don’t know what pellets I want to shoot. Today I take 25.4 grn fx pellets to 100 yards and see what happens.

point is if you’re the kind of person who likes to tinker the M3 is perfect. If you like simplicity, and want to shoot a light pellet, and just shoot, there may be better choices.

Hey guys...Im In the market for a FX Impact MK3 compact probably In 177 cal , Iv been watching twelve month old videos where people have had problems like air dumping out of the valve which seems to be a common problem , anyways my question Is have FX fixed the problems with the MK3 ?

Thanks .
Hey Foot: to address your actual question: Yes they did address the valve issue, And should you get one that slipped thru
the cracks, send it back to them and they will take care of it pronto.

Got my .25 cal M3 in January and then purchased a 600mm .177 cal barrel and a 300 cc bottle to use for field target matches. Accuracy has been excellent and with my current adjustments I get about 200 shots per fill.
I had an issue with the adjustment of the trigger but FX USA provided quick support and I was back in business. That's been the only issue so far. I've really enjoyed my M3.

Hi.....I’ve been shooting FX IMPACT in .25 cal And .22 cal for about 4 years, I stared w MKII , then the M3 came out
So I sold the MKII (which nothing wrong with them) I got almost all my money back , so I bought it when the first came out and the only thing that I’ve done it’s upgrade the power block, so in short they are great PCP’s.
This is my humble opinion. Good luck.

I'd say go for it. At our club- and we do a lot of airgun shooting with saot of brands, those that have the M3 are quite proud of their choices.
.177 has proved iffy for me with FX- they keep promising a superior .177 barrel liner, but it's not out yet. I've owned the FX-400, Impact and currently own a Mk. 2 crown in .177. I've borrowed a .177 FX 400 once- before all of the other FX purchases, & won the California 4H 3 position title with it, so there are good ones out there. But all of them were hella fun, and the impact is configurable for a myriad of other calibers too.

Thanks for all the reply's guys . I know I said I was In the market for an FX M3 , but all of a sudden I was looking hard at the Urugan 2 compact , and the Airmaks Krait compact ( you can tell I want a compact ) Then Brocock released the Ghost , wtf am I to do , all great guns at around the same price . Anyway long story short I ended up buying a FX Maverick compact In .22 what really swung It was the twin regs , adjustabilitey, and all the add on's . yeah I know It can be a pita to tune but I like to tinker , and It looks to be as accurate as the M3 and a little cheaper so with the money I saved I splurged on a Saber Tactical butt stock .
Should be here this coming Monday .
