AEA HP Carbine Valve Pins

Anybody know where to get STRONGER valve pins for the AEA HP Carbines/Backpackers?…….. I like this gun but I’ve broken two of the crappy factory valve pins so far. That’s actually the only issue I’ve had with it. Owned it about 10 months and have maybe 700 shots through it………..thanks.
Hi. Check with any dealer, Peter @ AEA Northeast as an example. I have a couple on order. Mags too. Probably within 10-14 days. AEA has improved the vp, so hopefully it is more durable. I also have a 22cal Varmint. Most accurate airgun I've shot. Target was at 50yds, 7 shots. .36 inches with FX Hybrids. Zan 23gr are equally accurate.

So this is pretty crazy. The ONLY improved valve pin I found was a seller on ebay, but his pin YESTERDAY was “not available” and listed as a limited run item. I check again TODAY and it was available again (so I ordered one). The Matrix is glitching once again I suppose………thanks for all your input, fellas 👍
I saw your post and searched for it and grabbed one myself. Thanks for the heads-up!

And I would order a Varmint in a second if it had a side lever. I can’t stand bolt actions.
I'm not a fan of bolt guns either. On the other hand, a long gun that weighs 6.5lbs, makes 50fpe in 22cal and out shoots just about anything out there and has great shot count for $600 is a no brainer. My HP Carbine fills a niche as a truck gun and forest hunter where 50yds is pretty much max line of sight. I did put on a longer bolt handle on the Varmint as well as trigger work and polished the bolt components. All in all, the Varmint is a powerful, super accurate light handling field gun that preforms impressively on the bench.

If it weren't for the trigger, cocking effort, and unavailability of repair parts, I'd be tempted to buy another Varmint.

What parts might you need? Most parts that fail in general are easy to make or are not manufacturer specific.

I had 2 of 3 regulators from a Challenger Pro fail. The only fix, at the time, was to get a replacement rifle under warranty. I've been able to stockpile some parts (such as valve pins) but other parts tend to be rather hard to find (not all vendors stock them). Not everyone in this sport has a metal lathe (although I've been tempted to get one).
