Shopping for air rifle. Seems like FX is most popular?

I love my impact compact 22 m2. It Loves knockouts. I'm still loving it over my m3 I love all my guns. My m3 is clipping the moderator with barrel tensioner. Took moderator off getting 1/2 group resting on a file cabinet standing 50yrds. slugs were unknown because shots were everywhere. If I slug this 30 cal gun I'm golden. Fx fan.

I think the m3 might be a bit complicated for a first airgun. You could def get away with less for your needs. However, I must admit that opinion is based of watching vids and reading articles. I haven’t dove too deep into the fx pond. I have two streamlines, a 22 and a 25, which are pretty simple rifles. Before that I had two AV avengers. The fx guns clearly are a bit higher quality. Their triggers are far superior and the shooting experience is better. However, with a little tinkering I still believe my avengers out shot (for me) these streamlines. They are way less money so possibly the longevity just won’t be as good, but wow were they accurate and consistent. You def can get away with less if you want too.

I was looking at the Zbroia Hortitsia. It is reportedly robust, accurate and fits the traditional style of a rifle.
There is nothing wrong with the M3. I own one and I'm happy with it.
Not to toss any frozen water on Zbroia, LOVED my Sapsan..until the reg went tits up, thanks to Putin's little excursion into Ukraine the odds on it getting fixed in my lifetime are getting slim, even Huma doesn't make a reg for it as far as I can tell. I got a FX Maverick VP., then a preloved Sniper that I've turned into a compact. .22 boringly accurate.

So what AEA? They have some semi autos for not too much money.
When you say "semi autos", are you talking about rifles that don't require you to cock the gun between shots? If that's the case, then you should keep two things in mind with those: first of all the power it takes for the gun to cock itself takes power from the shot. second thing is that in order for the gun to automatically cock itself, it requires extra parts that will probably be finicky and prone to failure.

Personally, I would never buy a semi-auto air rifle for those two reasons.

Hi Cody01.
New member here, looking to get into PCP. I've done a bunch of research on decent entry-level rifles and I agree with grungy's suggestion of something like an Air Venturi Avenger. Add a hand pump and a $150 scope and those gophers are going to be in big trouble. Might even make a few bucks from grateful home owners.

Personally I'm looking at the Benjamin Marauder in .22 cal. to use on ground squirrels and rats. That's another one you might check out, reviews say it's accurate, has a good trigger and is quieter than most rifles in its class.

It’s all about preference. Unfortunately, PCPs are not sold everywhere so trying different PCPs is not an option. I own a FX Crown. Minimal maintenance and shoots dimes at 100 yards.
That minimal maintenance thing weighed heavily on my decision making process.
I would rather shoot my guns instead of working on them, and some of these guns are just unnecessarily complex for the average shooter.

I am and have always been a rimfire guy for gophers and other rodents. I have wanting something for backyard target practice that will be somewhat quiet. We also have serious urban issue of gophers where rimfires just wpuldn't be allowed but I could get away with some air rifle shooting at certain locations. I watched a video on the impact m3 and it seems pretty top notch. Is that thing overkill foe what my purposes? Any other options?
Buy a Vulcan 3 or a Uragan 2.

You won't regret.

FX Impact is a Meccano shooting game.

With Airgun Technology rifles you will have accuracy at 190 yards shooting NSA slugs without any special tunning needed. Just out of the box.,,,, And perfect accuracy with jsb pellets at 110 yards.

PCP's are an excellent choice but can get very expensive very quickly. Compressors have come way down in price and way up on quality. I would not recommend a hand pump. Rifle, rings, scope, tank, compressor, chronograph, pellets, slugs and do not forget the range bag and rifle case. It all adds up very quickly.

I would suggest looking into a traditional air rifle. Quite capable of pest removal and less of a cost barrier. A fine heirloom quality springer capable of hitting dimes at 50 yards will cost $600 with rings, scope, pellets and a soft case. An HW95 .22 will dispatch anything up to a racoon humanely and quietly with aplomb.

This is a good deal and will meet your needs. Looks like a good deal with what is included.

You will not be disappointed with the crown…best of luck

Considering you came from rimfire that has the action and loading in front of your face I would highly suggest you get something like the FX Crown where loading of a magazine and cocking copies a rimfire.
Those here that think cocking a rife from the extreme rear end have never shot a real firearm and think having a rife like a Taipan Veteran is the cat's meow... not to mention the extra blast in the ears having the mag and cocking in the rear and slower recovery of time to get back on target for hunting or target for that matter.
Look into getting something like the FX Crown that has a lot less need for fiddling with and just have fun shooting
Also FX has a USA distribution center where many airguns are overseas with less part access
