So far this year I’ve nailed 45 tree rats. I haven’t seen one in a month. Yesterday I saw one snooping. I had my HW97 lam stain. .20 cal. One shot 37 yds. black. This morning I’m making a coffee I see a gray. Go get the 97 and, the black disappears and a grey shows up. Again 37 yds. one shot. Half hour later I see one in my oak tree. Christmas is early. Hit the second one, down. Reload, got the third of the day. Wow. This .20 cal. is quickly becoming my favourite. 4 shots 4 rats. Number 49. Crow

Hey Crowsky, Some get it sooner, some get it later and some never get it when it comes to the .20 caliber. Nice shooting.
Thanks.
Funny, I swore I wouldn’t buy because everyone that didn’t have one had the wrong advice. It was like the Devil on one shoulder and the Angel on the other. You and any one that had one all said the same thing “Awesome”.
The 97 is killer but so is the R9, being a break barrel it gets my vote. I’m glad I listened and went with my gut. Crow

wish you guys would stop talking (not) now i will have to get a .20
Can’t believe you didn’t have one. Crow
I don't need a 20 I don't need a 20 I don't need a 20....
Yes you do, yes you do. “You will take back things you didn’t even steal” Crow
I have considered selling my Beeman 97 .20. Besides a good caliber for small game I think the combination of accuracy and knock down power would make it a good choice for metallic silhouette. I plan to hold on to it for a little while longer.
Now your making me drool. I’d stand in line for a Beeman. Must be a treat to have. Crow

Excellent shooting with your HW97 .20! If I ever purchase another springer...that would be the one in .20!
Thanks. One spin around the dial. Why wait. Man I’m starting to sound like I’m selling them. Crow
My thoughts exactly🤣
I was in limbo for the longest time. Now I can’t wait to shoot them again. Crow
I had an R9!in .20 in my sights a couple years ago and I passed on it. Still regret it. 😞 I did however pick up a Regal in .20 & the darn thing is so wickedly accurate! The JSBs in 13 & 16 make a little ragged hole at 35 yards. Have taken several squirrels with it already.
Not familiar with Regal. Pic.I saw in another post shambozzie had some JSB 15.89 and I inquired at my source. The sales guy never head of them but it raised an eyebrow. 15.89 is fav. In.22. Crow
You either buy one and love it or buy one and end up disliking it. You'll never know which unless you do.
Decide you don't, any number of members here who do and would likely be pm'ing you.
Decide you don't also means more pellets for for me for the now 8 I already own...lol.
I’ve had no problem getting rounds . DAB5F355-4C49-4677-90CA-A2BCACA23A6B.jpeg 20,000 JSB, 10,000 H&N’s. Both excellent rounds. Crow
I ordered pellets from Midway USA and received nine tins of H&N FTT .22 and one tine of .20 H&N FTT. I now have a HW95 Luxus .20 that is a freaking laser. I blame Midway USA.
You can blame Midway. I remember that happened, didn’t take long. Their sales pitch worked. They did good. Crow

Yes, JSB makes a 15.89gr .20 caliber pellet too and they've been out for awhile...lol. Once H&N and JSB catch back up, you'll have H&N Baracuda and FTT's and JSB 13.73gr and 15.89gr plus Predator Polymags if they haven't stopped making them.
I've had 2 pre-orders I had to wait on, but I already had a decent stash so no worries on my part.

I was told by a knowledgeable airgunner, that the 16gr have far better ballistic coefficient than the .22 RDs. Here’s the Regal.
Dunno that I fit your description......but I have shot them essentially side by side (same wind/same day/switching back and forth/out to 140 yards) and the .20 Heavies are nearly as good as the MRDs at my speeds (.20/15.89s @ 915 and the .22/25.4 MRDs at 890).

Ive also measured BCs from both and average for the MRDs is around 0.05 while the average for the .20 Heavies is about 0.048. So, .20 Heavies are only slightly behind the MRDs, but they're still leaps and bounds better than any other .177 or .20. The .20 Heavies even have a better BC than the long skinny .177/16.2s, which surprises me, but 'tis true.
