"The Pee Wee .177"

Some months ago, as "Simplyhooked", I posted a question concerning the "Pee Wee" .177 and I must say that I've gone head-over-heels" enjoying my .177 PCPs! Within the last 18 months, I've bought the Brocock Concept Light, the Daystate Revere, the Dreamline Tactical and the FX Maverick Compact all in .177. There is something very unique all shooting .177s and their accuracy whether it's on paper, feathers and even fur. I've not chronograph them yet but I do love the accuracy of these excellent and well built PCPs. Just my $00.02.

Glad to hear you've been enjoying your 177's! It's a great caliber and a bunch of fun. I primarily do all my pesting around my house with this caliber. Its also a great slug caliber if you can find the right slug for your gun. My 177's are Daystate Delta Wolf, FX Impact M3, AGT Vixen long and Dar Gen2. I had a RTI Priest2 but sold it not to long ago but think I will pick up the Prophet 2 or a Uragan2 still undecided!!! Happy shooting!!! :)

I’ve got my R9 .177 Dad got me when I was 12, guns 20 years old now and I’m finally opening it up for a tune. Still learning there.
My other .177 is my PP700. Its my squirrel protection while deer hunting. It’s a silent little killer.
Walnut shooting is a favorite pastime in the Moody household also. We had a terrible walnut crop this year, tons of white oak acorns though.

With todays airguns in .177cal and even more pellet/slug selection the .177cal fulfils all my childhood airgundreams. Low noise, cheap to shoot, accurate, powerfull and joyful. Shooting in general one must ofcouse take safety for others in consideration. The good thing with the .177cal with lowweight pellets it does allow shots in smaller back yards. The .177cal is THE airgunners caliber.
I have two .177s.... a Daystate Revere and Diana 45.

All of my airguns are .177 (so far). Mostly because the shooting I do does not demand more than .177 can deliver. That keeps things relatively cheap and very fun. I would like to have .22's and .25's and maybe even something bigger, but as a backyard plinker and very occasional pester/hunter, I just haven't needed more. I did buy my Dreamline Tactical with the idea to have an inexpensive path to a larger caliber later on. But .177 is best for the environment I am in and I'm in no hurry.

Ed24,
Many years ago, I was stuck on .177s and nothing else appealed to me at that time. I finally gravitated to the Beeman R10-D in .20 caliber when it first hit the market that I still own. I presently own a number of .22s, a few .25 calibers and a couple of .30/7.62s but for around the house, I prefer the .177s.

Beau,
People have a tendency to frown upon the .177 but with correct shot placement, it has been known to be a laser in the right hands.
