EDgun Edgun Leshiy 2

...More recently Semi function starting acting weird and I discovered a piece from the end of the spring had snapped off....
Usually whenever I have any spring in my hands I polish the ends, so when morphs (extend or compress) it tend to twist...if the spring wire end is sharp from a cutting tool = that edge will cut into the other part...

Good one kinda, but not necessary. I can’t see how anyone in their right mind would consider the L2 for long range. This is under the tree, in the barn, out the window rapid dispatch. I can’t wait to get one.
I did Manage to hit a target out at 500 yards with my 250 mm barrel and. 25 caliber factory regulator and jets. And as these things work out I did not have a memory card in my scope I did not get a recording of it but there was a witness.

I brought a sample pack of .217 & .218 H&N slugs in 21 grains, I found the .217 to very accurate out to 50 yards with a 350mm alpha barrel. Not had a chance to stretch them further yet, but there easily as accurate as the JSB 18.13 grain that I've been currently using. Setup is as follows, EAR (external reg) set at 160, full sized puck & 2 x 1.2mm jets, dog bone & collar removed, speed 860fps.

Question, do you think going down a very small fraction in jet size would allow me to run the regulator at a lower pressure & produce the same FPS?

Obviously, jets much smaller would create too much air & turbulence behind the slug in a 350mm barrel & probably cause spiralling. But the recommended jet sizes of 2 x 1.2mm provided by Edgun were concluded using the 18.13 grain JSB. So my thinking is bumping up the weight almost 3 grains with the slugs I could use a slightly longer dwell time???

Thoughts??

Trigger feel has also greatly improved IMO, a tiny bit firmer spring rate like an AR platform, and with a better more positive return.

This should help my groups as I felt it was a bit soft before and harder to be consistent.
What was your source for the Spring and what are the dimensions of it I mean can I use the spring from a ballpoint pen the end of it or is it smaller?

I received the Huma Raptor regulator yesterday and installed it in about 15 minutes. The hardest part was finding an air source to blow out the small plastic piece and ball.
I have noticed that I can now hear the plenum filling with air and with the regulator set at the same bar, the fps has went up by about 40fps. I left the digital gauge on to see if there is a huge variation and in the short 40 shots I have taken, there was a minimal change but not that different from the REPR.
I didn’t have any issues with the REPR but I was intrigued with the Huma design and some of the smaller pieces of the REPR failing for some other members I didn’t want to have any of those problems. Again, I didn’t have any issues but was being proactive instead of reactive. The installation video which Edgun West put up was spot on and definitely made the installation extremely easy. I’ll be out shooting today so if I have any issues I will report back…

thanks for testing this out Ram, I would like to purchase one but waiting to see what others are reporting back. My REPR reg has performed great during shooting session with minimal reg creep if left sitting for a day. I too am intrigued by the design of the huma raptor reg. Definitely seems like an upgrade. I switched back to the original Leshiy 2 regulator and it has nearly no reg creep. but I do miss the adjustability of the REPR.
Happy shooting guys!

It doesn't have MUCH, but enough that I need to do a "reset" shot before a hunting session. Couple inches higher at ~30 yards after sitting a month.

Yeah, mine still creeps a bit too. When sitting for a few days it’ll raise about 10 bar from where I set it. Not a huge problem, but definitely need a dry fire before shooting to be on target.
My stock regulator (non-REPR) creeps as well. But just after sitting around for a long time.

Went out today and felt pretty good with the new regulator. I knew the regulator would need to settle a little and was pleasantly surprised at the consistency of the fps on each shot. The first shot was about 9fps over where it was yesterday but I only ran a few magazines through it.
After the first shot I had 3 magazines with an extreme spread of 4fps. I decided to let it sit for a few hours to see if there would be any regulator creep but the first shot was on the high side of the extreme spread and then each shot was within 2fps; I went through 5 magazines and was happy and, this really made my day, more shots per fill!
I have always filled to 300bar and being able to shoot and shoot and shoot was wonderful, hell, I actually thought my gauge was off but realized the regulator’s consistency kept me going; I hope this continues.
As far as adjusting the regulator I like the design and instead of using my normal size crescent I use my thin jaw crescent wrench so I don’t damage the the coating on the plenum; they work great. This is just the initial impression but the regulator seems to be well made and a good upgrade especially if you have had any problems with the REPR.
I kind of knew it must be worth while because Edgun West jumped on it and it’s a Huma product. Also, I have been dealing with Huma Air for some time now and I haven’t been disappointed. From their regulators for my FX to their Mod40 and Mod50 moderators Huma has been a proven entity to me.

I had some mag indexing issues lately = mag stuck with heavier pellets (with 2x0.7 jets and 240 bar on Reg). I am guessing about 5K shots with my L2, last time I toke it a part I saw a wear on black plastic parts.
Based on conversation with Brian I ordered the maintenance kit, received today and ready to replace.
I am not recognizing this spring, never saw it before. Where this one goes?

Looks like the spring for the magazine Arm that holds the roller

I just received (2) 1.3mm jets... I also have a blank (screw to shut down a nozzle) and the stock jets (not sure what size) that came with my non-repr L2 250mm 25cal. I have a thread here where I'm looking to tune down with noise reduction being my primary focus (but would like 20ish FPE). I also have a 350mm 22cal barrel. Mod-wise I have a mod50 w 4 stacks (bought an additional section) hornet config or can do ronin 25cal mod with either donnyfl 250 shroud (for 250mm barrel 25) or jack k shroud (for 350mm barrel 22)

Thoughts on 22 vs 25 cal & jet config?

I'm gunna have thoughts soon on what I suspect will be the quietest 250/.25 setup given that the behemoth reflex isnt avail for the short barrels.

STO insert for stock mod, threaded faceplate for stock mod, trilug behemoth...

Guessing behemoth arrives this week.

Have used the STO, its worth the money.
Appreciate your thoughts but I have a hard time believing that the STO will dampen sound better than the hornet mod50 currently on my L2 250mm 25 with an extra baffle installed... even with it installed my setup (not tuned at all, stock jets and putting hades 25cal pellets at 850+ is fps) is way too loud for backyard in semi-burbs of the city. Either I leave it full power and only use it as such or tune it down...

I'm still not sure if I opt to tune down whether to go 22cal 350mm barrel or 25cal 250mm barrel. That's my current debate...

I very much agree with Vinjak (above) on the STO insert.
Below is from a prior post-

I have an EDgun L2 350 .22 cal.
After trying numerous moderators (DFL, Huma, various 3-D printed shroud inserts, etc) none in my gun, works better than the STO Shroud insert that replaces the Edgun Factory insert See below:

Leshiy II Moderator (shroud core) — Silent Thunder Ordnance

The Edgun Leshiy II has packed a lot more into an already small space and considering the success of our Leshiy Classic core it was time we tried our hand at this new and interesting rifle. Unfortunately, the factory shroud core is not very well optimized and this, combined with the considerable pow

You can get added effect with additional moderator using the end cap replacement.
The end cap replacement with 1/2 x 20 threads is this:

1/2-20 threaded adapter for EDgun Leshiy 2 » Striplin Custom Gunworks

1/2-20 threaded adapter for EDgun Leshiy 2. Replaces the end cap on the factory moderator to accept muzzle attachment with female thread.

Nothing I have found will stop the action/indexing noise at your ear.
These make the biggest difference in noise reduction when standing away for the gun.

Also the Behemoth quick connect moderator is coming out soon and looks and sounds very promising. Brian at EDgun West demonstrated it to me over the phone and it was most impressive.
It will change the look of the gun. However, you can also add this as an add-on with end cap replacement or directly to the barrel.
