Airacuda updates.

What I really like is that you tried to fix it before you complained and did a good job and informed others of some problems you had and fixed .
Thank you for your informative post.
Thank you. Now if I couldn't get it to hold air that would be a different story. So far she's a good shooter and as I said I will make it a proper pillow block out of aluminum in the next day or so. I found the key is to not let the stock put any pressure on the air tube and the rear of the action.

Sorrry Bill I have to chop your post up so I can read it
Friday I received an Airacuda Max in .22. I'll start first with the good first then the bad.
Sorry I can't post pics, I don' have enough posts yet. I find the gun to be accurate @33 yards I shot jsb 14's at average 945 fps 10 shot groups into a dime sized group. Same yardage shot H&N 18's 10 shot groups into smaller than a dime size @ 855 fps. The rifle looks good and appears to be well crafted at this price point. Regulator pressure set at 1900 psl from the factory and no adjustments have been made yet to hammer spring or regulator. Without any tuning this gun seems very promising. The pressure gauges seem to be pretty accurate to boot.
Now the bad. When received the gun would not take air and you could feel the compressor air coming out the end of the barrel ( this is not good) so while the compressor was trying to fill I cocked and dry fired and on the 3rd try it stopped leaking, sticky poppet? When received the gun had no air in it. It holds pressure without dropping, whew thank goodness that one was resolved. Now the 2nd problem. The magazines would not fit the action because it was too tight, approx .5 mm tighter up by the scope mound area vs down below the pellet probe. Jeez, I'm getting frustrated at this first it wont take air and now I can't insert a mag to even shoot it. So I decided to remove the stock and behold the mags fit perfectly. Reason is the stock supports the air tube at the fron and the rear section of the action only. The rest in between is about a 3/8" gap between the action and the stock. There is only 1 screw securing the stock to the action and even when you gently snug the stock down it will flex the action to where the mags wont insert. There is flex and this is the weakest point where it flexes. So I used an assortment of different thickness shims around the mounting bolt to get it almost where I wanted it( just touching the wood and not flexing the action) so I could properly tighten the stock and finished with spring washer. Tomorrow I will mill an aluminum block to take the place of the shims and pillow bed this properly.
I'm not trying to scare anyone off from buying an Airacuda max, just giving my experience thus far. It truly is a fine shooter without even dialing it in yet.

Have you tried to decock your rifle yet? I just went out to do so and found that it fires when I release the trigger. I did find an video about the issue on YouTube, there seems to be some backwards adjustments done at the factory on these.

Its out of adjustment on the trigger. Some dealers are setting the triggers up incorrectly and some might have come set up wrong BUT its and adjustment thing. People are using the first stage take up as the sear engagement adjustment causing the sear to be pushed up into the hammer bore to far. Set the first stage(screw behind trigger blade) flush and then look threw the sear engagement window and adjust the sear(adjuster in front of the safety. Once you adjust the sear you always have to go back and check your first stage again as they are tied together. Any trigger on the market can be adjusted till its unsafe in some way. Be safe and have fun!

Yes, I found out as you lighten the 2nd stage it shortens the first stage to the point it wont cock. So need to make both adjustments at the same time.

Absolutely correct Sir!!! And just for fun you can take off the side cover and make adjustments and see what happens when you move the screws.

Plenty of water and vitamin C and Zink will do wonders. Ive had it 4 times. Get well God Bless.

I’ll tell you bad it is, my brand new .25 Max is sitting on work bench in my shop and I am not tempted to open the box. I am slammed , maybe in a few days, I hope.

Had the "crud" three times now, I understand your lack of enthusiasm, just get better, OK? We want you back here more than we want your review.

Made a discovery today. The avenger single shot tray fits nicely in the airacuda max.

First time I got it, it was like a bad flu with weird symptoms. Last time I got it I hardly knew it so our immune systems are really the key. Feed that immune system and top it up with lots of Zinc and C
