18 degrees is to cold for me to be out shooting especially with wind. I got chilly just looking at that photo. I'm glad you had a good day.

Nice set up. You get the same weather as me. Used to stay in Birmingham, in the winters before Covid-19 several times. Awesome state. Crow

I was gonna go to the range at Pontiac lake rec area today. But I dont breathe so well having emphysema and pretty much just take it day to day. Glad you had fun. If you're ever out this way hit me up.

Welcome to Michigan! I shoot in Saline, MI. Only about an hour away from Holt. Have you found anything closer? We shoot at http://www.washtenawsportsmansclub.org/ all the time, great club.
When the weather gets really bad we head up to the range. The rifle range has a big wood stove. Single fire PB, usually the mighty CZ452.

We have a propane heater in the shanty and I wear my merino underwear. Layers of clothing and Foot Joy gloves, those really help a lot. The shanty can get pretty toasty when the wind is not howling directly into the window!

Every day is a gift. Take it easy, the range will be there when the weather gets warm. Would be fun to find a central location in Michigan and have an airgun get together next summer. That sounds like a hoot.

My daughter sent me this picture of her back yard in Michigan yesterday. My son and grandson said they’re getting slammed with a winter storm in Kalamazoo and were having to shovel out. I did send them this picture of our yesterday morning weather and we actually did have a tiny frost on our grass too. A friend here calls it “snow on the grass”. We really need to take her to Michigan and now would be a good time. We moved from Plainwell Michigan to Gulf Shores Alabama 6 years ago. No long Johns needed.

Helluva lot tougher than me... My hands can't take fine motor skill stuff like loading pellets below 35-40 degrees. Glad for a 10 meter basement range for New England winters.

Yup usually not this cold this time of year!
The only airgun I've had out is my .45 Piledriver after some venison.
Its supposed to warm up some this week and hope to get chance to put another deer in the freezer! Got a nice big buck last Saturday with my Mission crossbow at 40 yards right in the ticker!
Nice set up there for shooting. I shoot out my upstairs bedroom window every now and then in crap weather but 18° is a little to cold for having the window open!

The only problem I have is the wind. The temperature does not seem to affect it. I mainly shoot cans and spinners, not a target shooter.
