Magnum Springer Scope

Hello Everyone my first day here!

I thought I could figure this problem out but I come here today asking for help and advice.

I bought this a long time ago
[ Ruger Blackhawk Break Barrel .177 ]
I'm not sure if it's a magnum springer or not but the problem is I would like a scope. Now I have read and know about scopes being injured by the recoil and I would like to avoid that haha.

My question is what is the best or some the best/proven scopes that will not break. I also need information on mounts. I did manage to install a weave on the standard dovetail but I can take it off if needed. I'm aware this isn't the best airgun but I would like to salvage it with a good scope if possible.

So please, I hope someone can point me in the direction of a good scope, mount, and advice haha.

Thank you,
NovaWulf

Athlon scopes are air gun rated , AND if it breaks you just send to Kansas city and a new one appears in a very short time . that's it , no questions , no hassle , not even original box or receipt . does not cover obvious damage like roll over it with your car or tank if you have one .

Athlon?, interesting thank you for the advice I will definitely check them out. Like vortex?

My suggestion is a Hawke scope. https://us.hawkeoptics.com/airmax-30-sf-compact-3-12x40-amx-ir.html
and use these Hawke rings. https://us.hawkeoptics.com/tactical-ring-mounts-30mm-2-piece-9-11mm-medium.html

This setup will work on your rifle and give excellent performance.

My HW95L with this Hawke scope as the 3-12x40mm AMX was not yet available. https://us.hawkeoptics.com/airmax-30-sf-compact-4-16x44-amx-ir.html

Iron sights always work. I am a fan of Leapers UTG as well

50 yards or less they work for me. As the truth is most small and medium critters are taken much closer than this. With Irons in the feild you don't need to worry about bumping around your optics while hiking etc...

Yup iron sights have only 4 points of failure and scopes have 10 times that amount. For springers iron sights all day long for me

Budget friendly...Hammers 3-9x40 or 4-12x40, one piece mount included can be gotten on Amazon for under $100. I have the 4-12, it's been on several higher powered springers and still going with no problems.
Might also poke around and take a look at the Hawke Vantage line with Illuminated reticles aka IR. The IR part means you'll get a reticle etched in the glass which will hold up better to springer recoil. Yes, I'm very well aware Hawke says they're not rated for spring guns over 12fpe, but I've got at least a dozen of them, all mounted on springers that shoot 14-18+ fpe and haven't had one break yet, plus Hawke has a lifetime warranty.
Never owned one, but the UTG Bugbuster Atlas mentioned is one very highly spoken of by many.

well, don't overscope it with some big 3 pound 6-24x56 scope with 23 flavers. Hawke AMX line of scopes have held up well on my springers. I have a few springers that are in the magnum range. I use 2-7x32 Hawke AMX scopes with BKL double strap rings. My 1 springer has a 3-9x40 Hawke AMX that I had to use BKL triple strap rings to keep it from twisting in the rings and provides alot of clamping surface. I really favor their reticle as well.
