Just Ordered A Tuxing TXEDT033

Tuxing Official Store in the US just brought in the TXEDT033 model. I've had my eyes on it for a while but finally ordered it today when I noticed it was reduced to $999 with free shipping on Amazon. This model is just like the 032 but it has 3 fans behind the radiator instead of only 2. I know there have been multiple posts on these but I have a few questions. Lubrication - Royal Purple, SECO 500, or SECO 800? Cooling - Royal Purple ICE, Water Wetter, or 50/50 anti-freeze mix - or some combination? Distilled water? What is the unmarked on/off switch on the top for? I did see Brian Thurman's posts on the 032 and will follow his lead or contact him if I have questions, like for the "T" fitting. What should I do initially like hose rerouting, tightening of fittings, etc? Any answers or links would be appreciated!

The 033 is auto shutoff and auto purge otherwise identical to 032. As a retired Hydraulic Engr. I would and do use Seco 500 for here in WI. There are other options also. For me, I use 50/50 antifreeze premixed. Operating for almost 1 yr now with no problems yet. I would strongly suggest upon arrival and before anything else you go over every connection with the appropriate metric wrench. Keep in mind ALL connections are metric i.e. M10x1 and never use any other thread or fitting unless your ok with cutting thread. Don't be surprised if you have leaks in parting line of molded coolant bottle. There are plenty of sealers you can use for such a leak. The sight gage and or fill plug also may weap. On mine, the drain plug bottomed on the mold rib in the cast cover. I took a dremmel to mine and it now seats flat and seals. Vibration may also be an issue as the motor/pump on rubber dampening is fine but mounting plate is weak and poorly designed for a rigid base. 4 packs of duct seal stopped all signs of vibration of the base. Ran mine on a dedicated breaker as I had room in my load center. Good luck with it and any questions feel free to ask.👍

How much oil is required to fill it?

I purchased the 032 a few weeks ago, I got it for 20% off on Amazon at the time so it was around $944 including tax. I thought that was a pretty good deal considering some of the options of other compressors that are manufactured by the same company but sold for a lot more.

I'm interested to hear any issues you've had initially and ongoing. Once I added the oil (Seco Lube 500) and combo water wetter/distilled water I did a pressure and leak test and found the small u-shaped line going from each filter was leaking on both connections. I did contact Tuxing and they're sending me a replacement u-shaped tube and some other items to have on hand. Also the pressure gauge was bent in shipping so they're sending a replacement for that as well. In the mean time I've been trying different things to correct the leak in the u-shaped tube fittings which have worked enough to get a decent fill of my 74 cu.ft. tank but it still leaks. I've also come up with an alternative to the u-shaped tube/fitting assembly by directly connecting a flexible micro hose with the correct M10x1 fitting on one end and then a M10x1 quick disconnect fitting on the other filter top and then just connect the flex hose with it's female QD adapter. I've also put another water separator filter inline after the second onboard filter (daisy chained) for some extra filtration since I had the filter on hand. I'll have to take some photos to show what I've done with it. I think after getting the air leaks figured out it will be a good compressor with proper maintenance and operation.

As for fittings to take the pressure gauge and re-route it to the second filter output, post if you find the correct fittings to make it all work. With all the different thread standards you can easily use the wrong one and make a mess of the internal threads on the filter. From what I've gathered the fittings are M10x1, not NPT or BSP straight or tapered.

Here are a few links for the oil, fittings and other items I've purchased to get the compressor setup.

Seco Lube 500 (I'm initially using the Synthetic CL-581815-LQ but may change to the Tropic's lube since I live in FL with high humidity.)

Thanks for the information and the links! I already ordered SECO 500 from FilterTechs last Friday. Haven't received the compressor yet - I'll post more once I get started with installing it.
YES - please post photos and details and I'll do the same soon.
By the way, as I understand it the only difference between the 032 and the 032 is two fans on the 032 and three fans on the 033. Everything else should be the same.

A Gallon of oil will give you about 10-12 oil changes. I'm fairly sure that the Tuxing crankcase holds between 300 to 330ml of oil. Check your owner's manual to be sure. Just fill to the top of the red dot. Do not overfill or it will cause problems. Too much is worse than too little oil.
Thanks Humdinger!

I have some cat pumps iso 68 high pressure pump oil I use in my pressure washer, have a full 21 oz bottle. Do you think it would work in the 032?
If you are willing to rebuild the compressor you can experiment. It's not really a viscocity (68) issue as much as temperature stability and not building carbon on the check valves.

Suggest you buy Seco 500. You can also use Royal Purple Sun 100 but I’ve heard the Seco 500 is preferred. I got my Seco from FilterTechs.com
The Royal Purple smokes, literally. I'm going to spend the bucks on the Seco. I've got a full unopened RP and a partial if someone wants it for shipping.

Just a word on the Tuxing and if you do a search of my posts you'll see my trials and tribulations. The short version is, auto shut off failed within 40 min. The electronic control modular died which means the power switch did also, they sent me a new ECM and a box full of parts, including a spare piston assy, seals, filters....getting to the ECM is 'fun' but I've got some hints posted. It is fixed and is working fine now.

So, would you recommend the 032 model without the " auto" over the 033? The 032 model is about $200 more which doesn't make much sense to me. Less features for more money. ($959 vs $1159 - Amaz)
