FX Impact , Panthera or jump ship and go Daystate Alpha Wolf

If you intend to service your own guns then stick with FX as the support is truly customer based with the providing of parts diagrams, parts at FXUSA, and some videos.

Never owned a Daystate, but I don’t hear too many folks servicing their own(in the top shelf of the Daystate line)

You are going to pay a whole lot more money for an alpha wolf. Get an impact.

From what you said, Impact looks like optimal choice

Though I have handled one, i don’t own an Impact but I do own several Daystate rifles including Wolverines and a Red Wolf. They are incredibly accurate and have been virtually trouble free. I also own a Panthera. While the Panthera and I are getting better acquainted each week it has promise to be a great bench gun but I really can’t imagine carrying the 700mm monster in the field.

In my shoes it would be the Impact. My M3 in 22 is wonderfully accurate.
I am a bull pup fan so the Panthera is out.
Had one Daystate electronic gun. Electronic issues and my inability to service them ended that.
Never owned or shot a WC.

Go with whatever you feel will be most ergonomic for your shooting style!

Impact sounds like best fit, you've done the .22, try the .25, or better yet, .30. Price of Daystate and length of Panthera are no-go for me, my Wildcat MK3 .30 Sniper is a solid performer up to 60 yards, however, now that crows don't come closer than 100 yards, turned to AGT Uragan 2 .30 (700mm) for the juice to go 150 yards, and beyond. WM

If a Daystate fits in your budget don't overlook the 30 cal AAA Evol from AOA. I have the Magnon. Amazing quality, accurate , not much to tune, American made and has a real rifle barrel. I realize this is not in your short list but worth a look

The Wildcat BT Compact is so easy to tune for a variety of pellets/slugs. Plus, you could buy the 700mm barrel to quickly change for longer distances.

RTI Prophet 2 Compact in .30

I would get the Impact or Panthera, but more than likely the Impact until a couple more generations of the Panthera come out.

Rodney, God forbid, You might have to experiment with a few different options to come to a somewhat conclusion

My next PCP gun will be a Thomas. You can use it for Field Target and Benchrest, or get two if you don't want to reconfigure the gun for the different disciplines. From what I have seen it is a major step above the FX or Daystate in accuracy and consistency.

You might consider the new Skout Epoch in 30 cal (that's the only caliber they are shipping right now)
It's also an electronic firing system like the upper end Daystate, but the firing valve is an improvement in my opinion.

I received mine last week and it preforms very well. I love the ability to shoot the 50 gr .30 cal JSB at 950fps on a 1,350 psi reg setting.

The gun barely moves when fired, it's way easier to shoot accurately. Shot consistency is really good, the trigger is amazing, the mag is the highest quality I've seen and holds 22 - .30 cal pellets and up to 70 gr slugs.

It comes with three barrels per caliber. I got the 35" barrel kit too, (3 in that kit too, so 3- 25" and 3- 35" barrels to choose from) and switching the barrels is very easy, and you can index them with ease, and they lock into place quickly and solidly with a lever/lock

It's is a very high quality build.... and pretty well thought out as far as firing function goes.

We added weighted fore end to fit in our adjustable front rest and to fit more comfortably offhand.

It's going to give the electronic Daystate a run for the money in the speed shooting events, with it's side lever perfectly positioned above the super light electronic trigger... especially for someone like me who uses his middle finger on the trigger so my index can operate the super short and light side lever.



I've tried to compete with different 3 Impacts and I think they are too hard to tune and won't hold a tune and have way to m any moving parts and Orings. I've sold them all..

And I'm not saying this just because our new little store just became a dealer, I can sell you a Daystate too, let me know if you are interested.

My vote goes to the Impact. You can get a 22 and still reach out further or go after bigger critters if you use heavy slugs. A 25 is tough to beat though and overall probably the best option for hunting. A 700mm Impact will still fit well in a blind, the Panthera is another story. And I think the best version of the Wildcat is the BT Compact, which will limit your overall performance in exchange for the awesome tiny package.

As a Field use rifle ... figure the Base FT version will be your starting point.
$3800.00 & No butt pad .. all said figure on a working rifle minus optics to be likely @ $4100 after shipping, taxes etc.
