I bought one, for 25-40 yrds. Its respectable. My only disappointment is that cheap crosman HP's aren't its favorite pellet. They are simply built and the trigger can be turned very light, about 760fps is hot as mine can go. I have a Vulcan, Cricket, Leshiy2, Hatsan flash and a pishtov. It's light weight fairly quite and accurate and powerful enough for back yard critters. I sold my "Prod" and bought this to replace it. Oh yeah, forgot to mention its regulated. At 30 yrds. I can get 1/2 inch groups with 18 gr. Jsb. From the reviews, it prefers light pellets but not crosmans. I dont like the safety in the trigger, my buddy shot a hole in his rain gutter taking it off safety, my trigger was set very light. Dont expect it to be 1500 dollar airgun and you're gonna be satisfied.Talk me out of one please. Zero guns in the high end, fancy shmancy range interest me whatsoever which is nice. Having the Evol mini I see no need for another airgun as it fits my needs to a T. Except for one which is a low power, close quarters shooter for in our barn. I used to use my Taipan Veteran short with a speed dial which worked great. I then had issues with the mags advancing on low power. Normal power it did just fine but i wanted it for that low power purpose also so ended up selling it. The Evol would be doable i guess but hate to adjust anything as it shoots so well and having to take it apart to do it is a pain. Ive yet to fill that low power spot which has been, I believe, over a year now. Hard to remember, got 2 kids now my CRS is much worse than before them.
I have a HW30 .177 I use in the barn occasionally which works but a pain with follow up shots as many pigeons can be in there at once. And don't like to get it dirty as it's a very nice gun.
Took a break from here for awhile, keep saying 6-9 months cause not even sure exactly how long but don't care to really look it up. I do have an Airacuda standard .22 that's been sitting for months without a scope in my safe. Got it to review and stole my scope off the Evol. Once I was done playing with it I looked into getting a different scope but never did. Took a 4-5 month break shooting airguns also. Now last month been getting back into it as weather is finally getting nicer. That gun does have a nice power adjuster that would work great for it but is pretty long and much heavier than what the Notos is. Could make it work even though it's length and weight are bigger than wanted for its use, but then I could just get a red dot for it and be done.
Anyways was just curious what cool guns have come up just to look at with no intention on getting anything different. However some Umarex Notos came up? Looked just to see and man I think it would end up filling that spot greatly.
Everywhere it seems to be pre-order though and I don't really want to do that. Should I take it as a sign to stay away?
I got 3 options I guess which none are ideal to me:
1. Adjust Evol in between needs for it
2. Get red dot for Airacuda and live with the large size
3. Pre-order Notos
Sorry, thought I linked the exact page. Check page 23 or 24Yeah... only 25 pages to go through
Hello All, new member here. Just want to post the current mods on my Notos. I made a drop block to install a carbon fiber bottle (370cc) for more shot count. Then I decided to change to a longer barrel, 350 mm (13 3/4"). External reg set to 2K, this gives me 815 f/sec. on 18.13 JSB. Trigger has been reworked a lot. I drilled and tap another hole between the 2nd stage and safety spring access. this reduced the 2nd stage pull quit a bit. I also machined the hammer shoulder to removed the radius by the sear. Then I bought a folding stock hinge, but I had to reduce the adapter thread down to 1.128" as it is very under sized for Mil spec. My brother has posted this along with his Notos on the Notos owners group. Also forgot to mention, I modified the side lever to a biathlon style. Much easier to cycle the action using Carm magazines.

I have a question. What ammo do your higher end guns like ?I bought one, for 25-40 yrds. Its respectable. My only disappointment is that cheap crosman HP's aren't its favorite pellet. Looking forward to your results, mine is not as back yard friendly as I need it to be!The first batch was pretty amazing, I hope the quality stays consistent.
I finished printing the baffle extension last night, will be testing it today, weather permitting...

I don’t believe it’s about “setting a standard” with CPHPs. Sub 30 yards, pesting? Plinking? Why oh why would I shoot my premium JSBs, AAs, etc. The Crosmans can “git it done” for a lot of shooters. My lesson was learned going through three tins of premium pellets on roosting starlings. After the fact, I realized at the ranges I was taking them the CPHPs were a less pricier alternative. Lesson learned.I have a question. What ammo do your higher end guns like ?
Crosman pellets are not the standard by which I’d define a gun pellet diet . It does seem to like the softer pellets ( Notos )
To me and my stable this is the least pellet picky carbine I own.
I get that the crosmans are less expensive and available all over …
My Cricket and Vulcan like jsb 18gr., but most accurate at 50yrds are the H&N 21gr. Slugs. At 30-40yrds the crosmans perform outstanding, but the groups deteriorate at 50 and farther. 99% of my shooting is backyard stuff at 25-38yrds. With my Notos at 30yrds. A 5 shot group with crosmans will usually print 3 touching and 2 flyers. With fx 18's, a half inch ragged hole. I'm retired and shoot a lot, so my go to are crosmans, but at the range I shoot my good stuff.I have a question. What ammo do your higher end guns like ?

I'm not familiar with that brand pump, but most come with a female foster fitting on the end of the fill hose. The Notos comes with a Fill Probe that is equipped with a Male Foster Fitting, so you just need to attach the Fill Probe to the Pump, inster it into the Notos and have yourself a nice cardio workout!Notos should hopefully be here at the end of the month. This is my first foray into pcp... Thinking of starting with a four uncles 4500 psi hand pump. Does anyone know if there any additional connectors needed to connect the pump and Notos?
Welcome to the queue!Well I'm back. Pre-ordered a Notos and Hawke 2-7x32 Vantage IR mildot for it. I was messing around with my wife yesterday and told her I had 3 guns ordered. Her response was that's fine I don't care. I told her I was totally joking and she said it doesn't bother me. She did just spend a decent amount of money at our school auction so made me think that's why she was ok with it lol. Anyways I thought about getting a higher end gun but think it's silly for my needs what it has to do. So a decent little gun and a decent scope to go with it for less than half what another option would be yeah I'm good with it. Then I can dedicate my Airacuda for slug use, Evol for my usual need then the Notos for close up low power needs.
Oh great hopefully it's not pushed too far back. Oh well I'm looking forward to it whenever I do get it.Welcome to the queue!
I've gone from April to May to June 28th and now at June 5th...
"Good things come... " - hope we both find out soon...
I'm actually gonna tune mine down to 12-15fpe. More than enough for what I need." And only 20FPE what a weak pistol carbine"
AND people are wondering why there is a movement in congress to lump Air gun's with fire arms ??????????????
I found the link to the GTA thread, but can’t seem to find the actual file. Do you remember which page it’s on? The link shot me to page 13 and I flipped around +-5 from there with no luck.No real reason, that's just the .STL I downloaded. At some point I may try the long snout, but I am having a lot of problems getting the initial layer of PETG to adhere to the printer base. I didn't think I'd ever get this one to start and then there was a lot of bunched filiment at the start that ended up with a really messy looking end. I had to snad away a lot of filiment to clear any obstructions from the end of the extension. It works great, just doesn't look that great!
