RAW TM 1000 .177

Wow and wow - My TM1000 is just back from Motörhead’s lair and it’s a dream to shoot - pushing jsb 13.43’s at between 808 and 818 fps.
I love the way it pops! I put the action into a RAW chassis stock and saved almost 3 lbs.
I haven’t gotten it fully setup yet, like my cheek weld, but wow and wow. So far the Hawke Optic is rocking it and together we nailed a squirrel in the back of the head at 80 yards from my little bench - not fair at all.

Glad your seeing great results after the reconfiguration / tuning done.
* Tho would note, going barrel shroud ( Muzzle reward towards receiver ) generally will yield better accuracy than an adapter holding an LDC sticking further out front.

Otherwise enjoy the RAW.
As set up many of the changed up internal features emulate how my personal raw is configured / tuned.

@Motorhead - noted, moderator was an expediency option, no shroud or threaded barrel, i tried the Neil Clague moderator but I prefer the Best Fittings or Rowan Engineering that have 4 grubs set 180 degrees apart. I may play with the Neil Clague moderator some more as in pushing it much further down the barrel and see what happens. Suggestions welcome.

I miss my two TM’s !
But Brian V and Brian W, were the perfect new shooters for these two.

Congrats, if you got the full works like on Scott’s personal RAW then that’s one phenomenal gun. Night and day better than a factory RAW! I tried Scott’s personal RAW and it’s mind blowing, granted it isn’t much of RAW anymore after all that work and brand new internal.

BTW, you don’t need that big moderator. Try something smaller, lighter and shorter, that gun should be exceedingly efficient and quiet with just a small moderator like a tanto.

I sent Neil Clague an email yesterday, he was smack fresh from open heart surgery.... but still answered my email! Impressive.

Per Neil: "Rudy they are made specifically for each gun and I make sure that they have no issues on the gun they are made for.
These should go back about 10 inches. I have just come home from having open hearts surgery and I
am exhausted, I will talk to you again later, Neil.".

Neils message told me what i needed to know, I was the problem, not the moderator / LDC.
I only slid it down 2" maybe 3" from muzzle's tip. Will try again this weekend using Neil's suggestion...

@Motorhead

For HFT I intend to attach a customized two purpose hamster to the RAW Chassis.
It will double as the purchase point where my gun rests on the bipod / sticks, using the secure M-LOK rails on one, two or three sides converting the chassis M-LOK rail to a picatinny mount.

Thanks ih

Yeah…I used to have one of those in CF.
He had designed it to drop right onto the barrel once u pull the oem moderator.
Once the oem moderator was pulled I recall 9.25”to 10” of barrel was exposed that wasn’t CF wrapped. Neil’s moderator was designed to cover that whole exposed 9.25” .
There are internal bushings that keep it straight. The grub screws are simple there to keep it in place.

I spent the day setting up and enjoying my TM1000. It is simply brilliant! 13.43’s at 818 fps and smooth sailing out to 55 yards! The chassis has made shooting it so much easier for me.

Apparently I’m a fickle creature and miss the feeling of wood. Thus I’ve dropped my TM1000 into a Daystate Tsar stock after some modifications:

Now damned if I can find the right hamster 🙄
