On, Canada
This rifle was posted for over a month, no sale. He listed it again the other day, reduced. The only catch was you had to pick it up, he wouldn’t ship. He lived way up north so nobody wanted to drive there. They wanted him to drive 1 1/2 hours to meet them half way. Well I lived less than a hour away.
Only one problem, I have one. Well I now have 2 and plan on putting Doppler sights on it. I like this gun and I like the lines on it.

Another one for the cycle.

I think I need some counselling. Crow

Counseling for what? Making good decisions? That Sport is probably my favorite gun right now and I'd have a second in a heartbeat if I could justify it. Congrats, Crow!
Thanks I know. Mine has about 1500 - 2000 rounds through it and it is magical. That’s why I couldn’t say.
‘Also my first purchase on a gun site. 👍 Crow
Money well spent. The Sport is my favorite break barrel. It just needed a tighter spring guide. Fit and finish is so perfect. Best rear sight I have ever seen. I decided NOT to use a peep rear and just shoot mine with the perfect factory iron sights.
Thanks, That’s good advice. I like your way of thinking. I’ll adopt that idea. Crow

Not at all. Getting the cocking shoe back in is a little funny but once you get the angle down it's as easy as could be.
Another 5 minutes, I’m going to ask you to stop talking. Made my day. Thanks. Crow
The hardest part is acknowledging you need help. I'd call that good enough for now. Enjoy your new gun!
Thanks Chris. I’m as green as you can get. But I enjoy the rebuild more than anything. Got lots to do. Crow

Nice, I wish I coul come up with another, but what is a doppler sight?

Maybe ill run into one @ Midwest show ? everybody raves about it . Nice find Crow .
IF a gun is within a few hundred miles i will P/U in person .
Thanks. This gun drive me crazy for a month. Thought it sold. He listed it again. That was my calling.
I would drive as well, no problem, turn on blue tooth stereo and massage and “beam me up Scotty”. I want to burn down south of the border for one of your gun shows. Crow

I have both, my 124 since 1975, resealed twice in the intervening years. It is a little easier to cock than the Sport. havethe 124 equipped with an Anschutz front diopter and a Williams receiver sight with a Gehmann adjusable iris. My Spogot hrt has a smaller Hawke 2-7 Airmax scope. I got up early and went for a 3 mile walk had a light breakfast, then went out and serviced, that is greased my Scag ZTR mower, that thing has 15-18 grease fittings and quite a few are rather difficult to access, and my old back was hurting from bending over and around parts. Just after lunch I took my Sport out for a few shots, maybe a dozen, did not set up my shooting table with rest but just sat down at a little patio table, rested my left elbow on the table and supported the gun with the left hand. First shot ten yards at the small target on a Crosman dueling tree, easy, then out to 40 yards at a little swing target. Being a little tired and achy the gun was weaving around but I managet 9 out of ten shots at that little 1 1/2" diamond swinger, enough to satisfy me . I have been getting up early and walking to get myself in a little better shape for a stress test next month, doing pretty good for an oldd man, I'm getting about an 18 minute mile, with a lot of ups and downs, low to high point is about 130 feet difference with other ups and downs along the way and in between. Early last year I was walking a lot then pulled something in one of my ankles, so had to stop for about 8-9 months to let it heal, and noticed my gait is not quite the same as before, that foot tends to slap down a little but at least no pain.

I like my old 124 with iron sights, it just handles and points better that way. The Sport seems to be as good with the factory irons as with a scope so far as handling goes. That factory rear on it is one of the best factory rear sights I have seen on an air gun. just wish they had made it to be easily removeable so I could try it with a diopter rear sight.

I have a 124, but no Sport. I guess I should get one to keep the older brother company!!! The 124 was tuned by Motorhead, an is shooting about 880 fps with H&N Match so smoothly!
You guys are lucky to have specialized tuners in the US. Would be nice. Crow

Nice. I would imagine the 124 is not as funky looking as the sport. Crow

In all honesty, the 124 is a bit more classic looking than the Sport. My deluxe model had what was more common then, a tinted lacquer stock finish. When It got scratched some 40 years ago I stripped and refinished, and don't want to tackle refinishing a beech stock again. I did get it so it took stain without looking cloudy in spots, and put a nice rubbed oil finish on it which has held up well over the years, I just shot both over the last couple of days and have to admit I like the trigger and safety on the Sport much better..

I like the 124. No problem with classic look. Crow
In all honesty, why buy a FWB Sport, when some very nice Weihrauchs are available? I bought an FWB 124D, and still own it. Love it, and soon to be re-tuned. But on the new list is the HW98. Enjoy your FWB, I have only had mine since 1979.

I have all Weihrauch’s except the 57. Love them all. The sport is sweet, I watched this one for a month. It dissappeared and I couldn’t resist it when it came back. No regrets. Get a 98, I have .177 and .22. They look good, feel good and are deadly and easy.
If I come across a 124 I would definitely jump on it, wouldn’t watch for a month. Enjoy your 124, thanks for sharing. Crow
