Artillery Practice with my Atomic XR …

Had a very difficult week, work-wise and family wise… So after mowing, I had this tasty Coors. It’s not a craft beer, but it goes down nicely when one is thirsty. Since I didn’t have a Bud Light🙈🙀🤓🤭 can, the Coors was it. 102 yards, sending CPHPs, wind from the north (my left), 5 shots before the first hit. 10 MILs of holdover and at least two MILs hold off. So about 36” of drop, and 6” of hold off. The second, low hit on the can (9 MILs holdover). Then I hit that saline bottle too! This is with a West Hunter WHT 3-12x44 IR FFP, while a good 60 yards and in pesting scope. Using 10 MILs of holdover, which is at the bottom of the reticle when at 12x leaves a lot to be desired. 10 shots for 3 hits on the can. 5 shots for 1 hit on the bottle. Sipping on a local craft brew as I type this and feeling lucky and blessed. Wishing all you ladies and gentlemen a happy Memorial Day Weekend. “Home of the free, because of the brave.” God Bless America.

Sorry about your week brother! Wish I could go outside and shoot my stresses away. I’m glad you have an outlet, and you’re DAMN good at it!! Fantastic groups!
Thanks, but those “groups” you see on the plate, were my misses from my attempts on the bottle and can. The chuckling out loud at the absurd ballistics of it all. Soothes me nicely and makes me briefly feel like a “boy” again…

Ain't nothing wrong with a Coors light lol glad it wasn't a blue can! That is really fun though with a lower powered gun. Glad you were enjoying your time!
Thanks…

This morning I dialed back to 8x on the scope, took three shots, sunny and bright day. First round hits on a black walnut at 50 yards, saline bottle on “end” at 64 yards and the capper, the saline bottle at 102 yards… The hits actually make me laugh with joy, never gets old. I could see the pellets arcing in the sunlight before the hits…
