FX Airguns IraqVeteran8888 Crown Arrow Slinger - SUB MOA @ 100 WITH PELLETS!!!

Come shoot the limited edition FX Airguns IraqVeteran8888 Crown with me as I review the gun and test some .30 pellets & hybrid slugs at 50 & 100 yards!

(Disregard the minor butchering of my scope cam video slightly at times - I won't be using that camera again!)

Thanks to High Pressure Pneumatics for loaning this out for me to play with! Head on over to www.myhighpressureair.com to snag your own IV8888 Crown!

With the correct tune Crown or any FX guns can do that. Was just playing with my Crown in .25 at 100 yards shooting NSA slugs yesterday after our FT match, one of the new guys asked if he can try my Crown. I put a few 1 inch sized pebbles and wad from shotgun shells I found on the ground on a log at 100 yards then let him have at it. Took couple of shots to get use to the trigger and gun then he was making those MOA or smaller sized "targets" fly at will, let's just say we have another new FX cult member! :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Unbelievable but you watched it with your own eyes! You could honestly shoot pro bench with this little 500mm barrel!
And it looks like you were just casually sending, definitely a sweet PCP… There are going to be 100 lucky guys and gals out there using these unique guns.

Very nice! And yes despite what alot of people think, a short barrel doesn't mean they can't shoot accurately at long ranges. A good barrel is a good barrel regardless of length. I prefer going as short as possible while reaching the desired FPE level. Slugs I know you lose more power compared to pellets due to surface area dragging on the barrel so a longer barrel helps more there. But pellet shooter short as possible!

Correct, you can absolutely have an accurate short barrel, you just lose efficiency.
Have you ever seen these WW2 tanks with the shorty barrels? They still shot things at long range! I'd hate to have had to stand anywhere near one as it was probably 3x as loud as a longer barrel and probably blew unburnt powder everywhere along with a giant fireball - but still got the job done.

It's still wild to me to think that a compact 500mm barrel can print that well, despite absolutely knowing it is capable. Crazy accurate barrels from FX, man.

Just for grins, Tom told me they tried a 600mm barrel and a 700mm barrel at the same tune and got 930 and 970 fps, respectively. Pretty nice gains with the longer runways!

Technically speaking the shorter the barrel the more accurate the shooter could be. With much shorter barrel the projectile has to accelerate faster and spend a lot less time in the barrel, this means less follow through and hold sensitivity requirement to keep the barrel perfectly still towards the target while the projectile is still in the barrel.

Now tuning a short barrel at higher power is a completely different conversation. Let’s just say it ain’t so easy and get much harder as barrel gets shorter.

High Pressure Pneumatics is going to be selling the sub-MOA limited edition IraqVeteran8888 Crown I just reviewed on the channel. It's #80 out of 100 ever made, and it is a BEAUT.
You might like it even more knowing it has 1 pest-control shed-varmint kill on it, check it out!
