I gotta lotta miles on this body, and dearly love powerful springers. But I don't wanna carry a 11lb rifle all damn day. I just got a Hatsan Edge in 25cal and am having the time of my life. Sure, it's a little rough and cheap as hell, but it'll group with the best of them and holdover is no problem. I been doing that since I got my first Red Ryder in 1965. No, I don't need a $600 gun that weighs near twice that of my new beater. My wanderings are shorter nowadays and the little Hatsan makes them easier.

I hear ya! And I'm still technically a "young pup"😅
Got an almost 13lb build and ...man I carried it about 200 yards and thought...new bench gun🤷‍♂️🥴😆

My buddy bought a box store springer back in the early 2000’s. I tore it down for him and cleaned things up then some proper lube. That gun is an amazing shooter. He has downed so many things with it. And some really odd things. What’s totally cool is even though I have some high quality springers in my cabinet, his gun is the only gun I truly admire. It’s just not supposed to be that damn accurate. Plus the 20 pages of obituaries it’s caused. Nothing greater than a great cheapo.
