Cut thin white cardboard with pencil drawn crayon colored bulls.. cheap efficient and makes nice holes with domed pellets at any range

A plain piece of paper with red dots drawn on it with a red magic marker. I use to print targets with my Epson printer but they decided to update the firmware so that only their ink cartridges work. They actually stated that they aren't in the copier business, they are in the ink business.

Brownells used to carry some nicer stamps made by Sinclair International but they seem to have gone with the wind

Small challenging targets. This makes you a better shooter and will get you to know your equipment as well. Then move the targets you are comfortable with, and move them out to some distance and shoot them again.
I often use empty pill bottles, gallon jugs of water or for the most reactive fun, well shaken cans of cheap soft drinks.

I have this remote controlled unit. Pops up one target at a time, 10 in all. Works like mint. 
Needs to be protected with steel plate.
Had over year maybe 2, used once. Not into paper right now, but when I do it will save a lot of travel. Into plinking now. Crow

Duraseal spinners and hanging targets. They're quiet, and don't need resetting or painting.

My favorites are the steel targets that I make myself. I’m learning to weld so it’s like two hobbies melting together.

Cement targets in different sizes. Cast iron pans. And good old cans.

I had a duraseal gopher. Not all my pellets went through and eventually it got too heavy to spin!

Small apples from my apple tree. I freeze them so I even have them to shoot at in the winter.
