best scope for EdGun classic

depends what you want to do with the classic ? Scopes are designed for different uses .
I own a Classic and have a fixed power 10 light weight scope for hunting , IT is all you need .

I have a USO 3-12. Fits it nice, but have not tried it out in the field. Considering replacing it with elements new emersive 14x wide fov scope though. not yet sure it would provide a comfortable eye relief

think you would need a way to mount it farther back , ,seem to recall a longer picatinny rail that doesn't add much height on Amazon but not in stores . IDEA = maybe just a 6 inch picatinny rail screwed piggyback to the Edgun rail .

As I recall others have had trouble putting the IO 14X50 on Leshiy Classics. As I recall the ring sitting further back behind the objective bell made it really tough to get proper eye relief.
Haven't looked through the 14x50 but have used the original 5x30 & the FOV on that one was amazing. I can't imagine 28' FOV at 14x.

I've had 1-6x24 LPVOs up to 4.5-14x32 scopes on my Classics. It really depends on how you plan to use it.
What is your magnification preference?

Following! This is an ongoing quest for me, and for many others here.
I'm currently wavering between the Leupold VX Freedom EFR 3-9x33 and the Meopta Optika 5 2-10x42 PA. Both reportedly have good glass. For my purposes ( do a lot offhand target shooting), the light weight of the Leupold is a plus, but it lacks the magnification range and side parallax focus of the Meopta.
Any suggestions for Jtucker06 and the rest of us with L1s are most welcome!

Dedal Stalker is ideal but pricey and hard to find - loved mine. UTC Bugbuster is very good and way cheaper. I haven’t got a classic any more but have an Optisan CP on my L2 at the moment and it is terrific for the cost. Easy to use with the lens level with the break line on the rifle.

Interesting side note. If you have a Leshiy with the EAR and keep the little adjustment tool in place under the neoprene cover (as I do) then if you use the Optisan (mine is the 3-12) with the eyepiece at the rifle break line then when I shoulder the rifle I locate the bump just under my cheekbone and get the perfect head position to sight every time. Really useful for snap shots when out on the rabbits or the squirrels.
