Blocking members ADMIN

Top right where your username / avatar is, click preferences, on that page there is a side tab 'Ignoring'. Click that and your ignored list should show and you can unblock there.

Admin question: how do I UN ignore/ block this member so I can see threads? I can scroll past just seemed convenient..

We all know those people, both online and in real life. I find them amusing and a nice comedic relief.

I guess that blocking feature is for sad childish selfish folks. Even if i hated your guts i would still prefer your able to get any help or info posts i offer here good or bad not block you like im giving you the middle finger . Id feel too much like a chump blocking a guy.

But i guess whats good for the goose....

Not hardly. I often block people that I find obnoxious or annoying on various sites (usually chat or gaming sites). My peace in not seeing their bs is far better and too bad if they cant see info I put out their. They shouldnt have acted the way they did to deserve the block.

Well kinda like giving a dislike.. thats another i dont do. Just as easy to not click like and move on .. lol

For me it wayer under the bridge in a few seconds or so .. lol..

Isn’t it funny how a person nowadays is more offended by a dislike than if someone told them to go ….. themselves. That little thumbs down just scorches their sensitive souls. Not saying I would never use a thumbs down dislike, someone would have to be a complete rule breaking moron. But for a guy with an opinion, no. Even an annoying guy with many opinions, no. That’s what makes the wheels on a forum go round and round with entertainment.

I believe the only entire threads that would not show are ones started by the blocked person. Threads they comment on should still show just minus their comments.

In case there are others like me who didn’t know, the block feature on this site is a bit different from most other forums. It not only hides the person’s content from you, but also hides your content from them. The latter they can easily circumvent by logging out of their account and viewing the forum as a guest.

I do see theres is 2 check boxes for it to be one way or two way ( tit for tat feature) . Mine was / is set i guess default to 2 way. So if you block me my stuff auto blocks you .. ( i guess?)

How silly a feature to start with imho.. oh well..

Here is MY opinion :EVERYBODY has a opinion and some you may judge good and some you may judge bad. There used to be a thing adults did called talk, converse, debate without getting their feelings hurt, but not in this day and age. Blocking someone is no different than Facebook, Twitter, or whoever blocking a post because they don't agree or want to hear that opinion. Wisdom is learned from the Council of MANY, some you may agree with and some not. There is no power in words unless you give words power. Sticks and stones will break my bones but words will never hurt me, when did people get so thin skinned that mere words cause them distress. I tell people, if it bothers you to read stuff you don't like, don't go there or turn it off...your problem is solved.But that doesn't happen.

I donk know . The guy in question through a 3ed party days hes not blocking me but yet his posts are invisible to me in threads and i cant pull up his profile thing to private message him just as if he or me were on one or the other block/ ignore list..

I block nobody so not my end



I was able to add him and then remove him to see if it was a glitch after the fact to see if it fixes it .

Doing that was also kinda funny by ising a posts @so&so link thing from another post ..

Anyway that feature is kinda lame all around ..lol.


So he says im not blocked/ ignore by him and hes not by me whats the deal on that then ?
