This is just a snippet of a much larger problem. I think it starts with trying to convince everyone and anyone you know to just pay close attention to what is going on at the top levels of government. Not to push any set of beliefs as that turns people defensive but toget them to become vested in it and become better informed. Look at all outlets and media to draw an informed opinion. I think most are rather apathetic to it and just see or hear things on occasion . I have faith in my fellow human beings that do this would actually see the forest for the trees. Honestly the picture of that forest has never been more clear at any point in my lifetime than it is now. The way we change is at the ballot box and we get people there by getting them informed and engaged to what is going on.

Even here we are forbidden to speak of who is supporting our demise. (we the people) have no voice, are lied about, censored and silenced by the media and those we can't speak of. We are the same as citizens of China and North Korea in that regard. The end goal of every anti group out there is manufacturering and importation that's what they want banned. They have wanted that before utube or big bores existed and will not be satisfied the day after they get it. They will just start up on something else that they are over the top passionate about. And yes once again only if you agree with the media and those we can't speak against will your voice ever be heard. Free men don't face these issues. When those who do except it they are not free for long.

I would love to say exactly what I am thinking on this topic, but we know how that would go.
A couple of points from my perspective.

Videos showing lethality.... yes, it brings attention to the Karens and Darrens of the world, but we shouldnt cower to them, or any other 'D's' out there. If we are continually having to 'hide' LEGAL behavior, are we really free? I tend to believe that discretion is best in MY case, and I'm sure not going on video displaying what guns can do, but if that's someone else's cup o tea... great...you do you. The constant hiding that we feel we must do only empowers those who would eventually find out anyway.

It's sad that we are in a battle but we are in a battle... a war even. Those who wish to strip us of our rights depend on the media to amplify and social pressure to cause us to hide. The greatest gift we can give them is for US to be divided on this issue. When I hear another 'gun guy' talk about 'well maybe we need common sense regulation' or who are willing to capitulate on some measures, or who votes outside their interests... it makes my skin crawl because ultimately, they are a bigger problem than the aforementioned videos... why? Because they are the unknowing moles of the anti gun movement. They are the ones who have been converted by social pressure and they are the ones who cause division in us.

Sooner than we may think, been hoarding powder burners and ammo for years for a reason 😊

Yeah, just like firearms, that is what "they" are hoping for.
Yep, implode a sport/hobby from within. Use that sport/hobbies own people to ruin it and they hardly have to lift a finger. Just start rumors that create panic, then hoarding then ridiculous prices. The end. They are human behavior experts and use it as a weapon to achieve goals. And dummies fall for it.

If ANYONE thinks this is because of videos on YouTube showing the power of our toys......your sadly mistaken and easily manipulated. Sorry, but there are people out there that HATE what we do and will do anything to get rid of it. Doesn't matter if it is airguns, bows, bicycles, or blowing bubbles. There will always be people who REFUSE to understand and allow others to have fun.

You see this in eveything. So to try and lay blame on a particular section is only going to hurt us a community.
No it definitely is a contributing factor. Just because you don’t think it’s a cause does not make it any less true.

Voting democrat is the problem. And we all know it.
But, but, they’re eternally saving us, because they know best. Witness the state of things in the world, and correlate it to whose in charge? I simply cannot, literally, afford their absurd policies of American citizens last. We Americans are the hardest working and fairest of peoples ever. The politicians are simply playing us. Term limits for “ALL” elected officials should be the law of the land. Its the only way to get a handle on the egomaniacs on either side of the aisle.

Anyone who thinks its only one side needs to look at the coin. they are two sides of the same corrupt coin both with the agenda to further themselves not the people.

We MUST be vigilant and push back with infringements on this hobby and others as it starts slowly subtly until its too late. its often done slowly subtly with a guise of good intention to push it through so people think its ok or dont realize whats goign on.

Much like a frog dropped into boiling water, it recognizes the danger and jumps out. yet put into cool water and the heat is turned up slowly, the frog is dead before he recognizes the danger.

This is why things are done slowly quietly.

Like I've been saying, ain't nobody need a full auto airgun. I know there's some who think we do but how many times will these people actually shoot it in full auto.
Who are YOU to determine what someone else needs? Are we free or not? If someone wants to make one, and someone wants to buy it then go for it. As long as its done responsibly. Then if it isn't, take action then and only and not before.

I personally would love a quality rifle with semi and full auto. Am I likely to use the full auto option very much? No. But it would be nice to have the option should I desire.

Its not about ”needing a thing” its about leaving the American citizen alone. As long as you abide by “sane” laws and hurt no one? Have at it. Who are these creatures that get to decide what “you and I” need?

While I agree on some fundamental level, if we/the industry keeps pushing those boundaries, laws will push back, we're not far from being more accessible yet just as concealable and powerful as our counterparts.

I had similar thoughts once,

its not JUST the big bore guns or slug gun guys, its not JUST the (as much as I hate to say this) the edgunleshiy videos, its not JUST the advertising 1000 fpe, its not JUST the NRL22 airgun competitors keeping up with powder rifles, its not JUST aea advertising the s45 the way they did...

Its just not, it may be a culmination of all those things yes, but really human progression with anything is inevitable, we wouldn't have these if we didn't progress. It is bound to happen at SOME POINT, hopefully a long time from now.
There is just too much money to be made by folks; the inevitable manufacture/marketing of more power to keep up with powder burners.
Not saying this is everybody at all, definitely the FULLY automatic crowd.

Nobody needs anything airgun related. They are a luxury item. My take on the full auto thing is it’s just another avenue in the airgun industry. It’s a shame we had to go down it. But with this hobby blowing up in the past couple years, it was inevitable. Now we are at the mercy of hope. The hobby has evolved to the point we all have to hope people don’t do stupid things enough times to show a pattern.
