Air Venturi What's The Largest External Plenum You've Seen On A .22 Avenger?

Hmm I would have to search for the videos again. There was a gentleman in South Africa that was heavy modding his Avenger, and another in South America if I remember correctly. Being this was over a year ago and my memory is all jumbled together these days, I dont know if I can easily find them now :(

But here is a link the the ebay auction:

Made a plenum for the avenger today from 7075T6. I was very safe on wall thickness, plug length and inside corner radius so it only came out to 25cc but I'll probably open it up more after testing. I need to machine a filler cap to test it.
Exterior body (excluding neck) measures 44mm wide and 55mm tall. I'll drill holes in the plug for a pin wrench later.
The guy in the video above either has very thin walls and square corners inside or didn't calculate his volume correctly.

Nice machining  (y)

The above video has a plenum that is 31.75mm in diameter, and 127mm tall. I dont know what the wall thickness is, but if his internal diameter is 26mm that comes out to 33.12cc. That seems pretty thin to me, but he doesnt give the wall thickness so there is no way to know. Some other plenums I have seen are like 150mm tall and 40-50mm in diameter. Almost like having a built in mono-pod haha.

I didn't realize the one in the video was that tall. The smaller the diameter the thinner the walls can be. I wanted mine to be as short as possible and still have decent volume so I'll have to cut the plastic it's full diameter.

For sale? There is a 25cc made to order on ebay. I have seen some redonkulous ones claiming like 40cc custom jobs on youtube videos. I think the AE Swede is a great upgrade for a great price.
I just installed mine from AE Swede. It's on sale for $29.00 right now from Aaron's website. Weather is bad here so can't get outside to do some chrony testing but will soon. Oh, it's 11cc.

I have the same on mine and really like it. I decided to tune it for the same speed to help with shot count when compared to my stock Avenger. I was able to push pellets faster with the extra plenum volume, but the Avenger is already reaching max speeds in 22Cal without the upgrade. Mine shoots Hades at ~995-1005Fps at a pretty mile tune. It does really well with Nielsen tiny slugs too, and from memory they go about ~950Fps on the same settings.

Here is mine, I just used a spade wood bit and a dremel. Another mod I thought was a good idea was adding another action screw. The breech block has a threaded hole already that I just located and drilled to add a machine screw. I know it looks like a kindergartener did it, but Im more of a metal guy than a wood guy :ROFLMAO:.

From the breech block to the bottom of the plenum is:
1.660"
~42.164mm
Thanks.
I used to use these 20cc yong heng filters as an external plenum on the impact.

I just screwed a close nipple into the top of it, put it in place of the rear gauge and moved the gauge to the bottom of the plenum where the hose would be. They became obsolete on the impact once they copied my power plenum design. FX loves my ideas, just not enough to say thank you. ;)

The revolutionary pocket radar chronograph just got upgraded!

How much if any cutting did you have to do? I want one but I really don't want to put a hole in my wood stock.
I didn't do any cutting or drilling of the stock as I took off the front piece of stock as mine is the composite black plastic version, which comes in pieces. I added a carbon fiber bottle to mine so you just add the bottle and a barrel band to hold it to the rifle so all is secure. It looks tactical after doing this mod as that front piece of stock is now gone. On the wooden stock it's all one piece so you have to drill a hole as big around as the plenum so it will drop thru the stock sticking out the bottom. Hope this helps explain.

I have the synthetic 2 piece stock so I just took the screws out and removed the front section. No drilling required if you don't mind the tactical look you get by doing it this way. I didn't want to void my warranty in case it has to go back to factory for replacement. Hope this helps.
