Daystate Raw get a new playmate.....

Decided to try something new. The Raw just lost the "best trigger title " . Just started tuning the Alpha. Started with jsb 18.1 . Sweetspot is 940 fps top left target @ 70 yds. Next up will be 25.4 rdn. Shout out to Centercut for info on factory mode and set reg 5 bar above minimum pressure to achieve desired speed. Long day and tons of shooting. Wolf has the best trigger I have shot. Stay tuned.

Beautiful rifles! That's a good group for a hot tune. Which would you keep if you had to pick?

Gorgeous AW! That surely is an amazing trigger! Enjoy shooting/on the fly tuning it!

Interesting method provided by @Centercut but that is solely dependent on the chronograph being clean and working properly, which has been hit or miss for me.

While I agree that a Factory Mode will in fact automatically tweak your settings to achieve the desired velocity in different climates... the Factory Mode has never provided the exact velocity on the first shot (and will reset itself to default after each time the ECU shuts off) regardless of where I have the reg set. Advanced Mode settings is the ONLY way I've been able to achieve my desired velocity on the 1st shot (based on the climate I programmed it for).

I agree, the trigger is simply amazing.

With the programmer/software is it possible to look at the "current" Factory Mode settings (using Centrecut's method) and then go into the Advanced Mode on the rifle and replicate them?

I don't recall. But I believe the ECU will make adjustments based off of the chronograph.

A good analogy is like a car. The engine of the DW/AW is a mechanical regulator, while the ECU is like the transmission. So it's important to have your reg pressure just above the apex of your desired power. Then modify your ECU settings accordingly (like a mechanical Hammer Spring Tensioner) for smoothness and efficiency.

Admittedly, Mr. Centercut has done a lot more shooting than I have the last few years, and he works closely with AoA and the ART dev team. So he may have more answers for you.

im thinking that electric triggers have been around for a while , have heard they are fantastic ! when i grab my raw or theoben every now and then i never concern my self with batteries or charging ! that being said " if your all in on this fantastic piece of hardware were all still glad to hear about it !
I have many PCP's.

Some FX triggers are fantastic.... BUT..... Nothing compares with Daystate electronic triggers..... A super trigger indeed helps on accuracy !!

Do you happen to have a tune for .25cal 33.95gr JSB MK2 pellets you would like to share?

I don’t want to argue, so I’ll just say to the above if your onboard chrony isn’t 100% functional, it’s still under warranty. Mine is always functional, and so is everyone else I know that has or has had a DW/AW.

As far as not returning to previous settings on Factory mode, that hasn’t been true for over a year. When the gun times out and then is turned on again in factory mode, it returns to the exact settings that were present prior to timing out. This has been the case for at least the past two or three software updates. If it doesn’t do that, you haven’t updated your firmware in quite a while.

If you have the tuner you can access the settings that the gun used in Factory mode and replicate them in Advanced mode if you want to, no problem. But why? Factory mode will give you good ES even on the first shot if setup correctly as I recommend.

Like I have said before on here, the human condition has a hard time accepting psychologically that “factory” is better than “advanced”. I’ve seen this in other circumstances. A recent example is the Altaros ATP Smooth slugs. They just work best between 880 and 900 fps. But so many shooters, even knowledgeable and very good shooters just can’t accept that a slug shoots better slower and not at 950 to 1000 fps. Even if that slower slug has a BC or 0.21 G1.
