Huben GK1 - Carbine or Stock Mods

just received the v3 GK1 22 cal about 30 minutes ago, & missed out on the stock (here in classified) i wanted for it, dang it..
I did post up a mini-walkthrough on reconfiguring the A3 Tactical - had a handful of folks asking if I could make a little video. Super simple to flip the extension around.

Oooo, you get to pew pew it yet? I didn't get to unbox my v3 last night 😭

Bruhhhh…. Just installed @M0ist0ne ’s double pic rail adapter! This is so fire it’s unreal 💯. Hooked up with Strike Industries dual folding stock and cheek riser. My only complaint is I’m gonna have to mill something to give it some extra vertical as it’s ultra compact but it still sits really low so it’s hard to have the dot even visible without really scrunching your head down.

Also I just have to mention, this was an EXTREMELY easy install.

Edit [update] -> I’ve been playing around with it and gotten used to the positioning much more now and it feels pretty good.

I would be interested to hear how this stock works out longer term. I gave a lot of thought to a lot of stocks and narrowed it down to the Strike and the Sig for my 22 cal. I was a bit concerned from the reviews I read regarding the Strike being a bit loose fitting, although many said the secret was in the shims. So I followed my wallet and bought this sig stock from Griter and I've been pleased for the most part. When it locks in place it really locks, it takes some strength to move it to the side, that's my only issue. 17 reviewers on OP gave it great reviews and it was $150, so I bought a 2nd for my 25 this morning from Griter and a 2nd adapter from Huben3D. No matter what stock you purchase I would think you will be happy. Its a game changer for me, I'm such a terrible shot 😒😂 https://gritrsports.com/sig-sauer-mcx-mpx-folding-stock-stock-x-fold-plus-blk

Not as short as I want…yet but it technically started as a gk. It will be left unregulated, I’m just not set up for metric threads on my big lathe or the tube would already be shortened. I’d like to have ~16” barrel and tube to match.

The folding stock is from one of my AEA’s.

Nice

That's not an optimal marketing strategy. The purpose of accessories is to sell the product - because accessorisable products sell better. Or, the product can sell the accessories in volume, if the prices are not something you notice. This is a neither here nor there sort of thing.

Not much to tell really. I fitted a LW barrel with tension cf shroud. Grip frame is machined from 7075 aluminum. Since the tube just turns and locks in these, I made an extra support (still raw aluminum) that is held to the tube via the check plug hole and then to the grip frame via two 8-32 screws. The tube is a k1 main tube.
