Intra-USA Airgun Shipping Options - Between Private Parties?

I've shipped long brown boxes with all three.

Usually get something like this.... "Does your parcel contain anything liquid, fragile, perishable, or potentially hazardous?". Answer = nope.

UPS store will occasionally ask what's in there. So I answer truthfully and tell them: a pneumatic device, or sporting equipment or parts for a pneumatic device.

I've shipped everything I've sold USPS (as "pneumatic tool components"). Removing action from stock shortens packaging & reduces price of shipping & reduces possibility of stress damage to article being shipped.
Another benefit of removing the action from the stock is it makes the box look more normal and not like a rifle. Keeping it under the radar of those with sticky fingers.

So two boxes or just not in the OEM box?
No , both items in the same box wrapped and padded securely so the 2 pieces don't bugger each other up. Another plus.........both UPS and the USPS go by
"dimensional weight" = not just the weight but by how much real estate your package takes up in the truck. Bigger packages means less packages. The length seems to be the biggest contributing factor . This is from a guy who spent 24 years jumping in an out of a brown truck , honking the horn , trying not to step in dog poo ! (Me)

Just realize it all depends on your local jurisdiction and where you are sending it. You can break the law as not everywhere recognizes the difference between airguns and firearms. You have to be careful. The reason some of these franchises won’t or are hesitant to accept airguns just boils down to liability. These carriers can be found at fault for things that are beyond their control. Example: Fedex Freight had to settle a lawsuit for millions of dollars with the state of New York a number of years ago for shipping un taxed cigarettes into the state. These shipments are palletized and wrapped in non transparent plastic. No way the carrier could possibly know the cigarette packs lacked the stamps indicating they were sin taxed. However, Fedex freight ended up paying like 13 million dollars if I remember correctly. These companies just want to cover their donkeys. I usually just say a pneumatic tool.
