That’s why I added that picture. Kind of puts it in prospective. I do need to move the scope back as that one doesn’t have enough eye relief as it sits in the picture so you have to extend your neck out there to get the site picture.Your buddy shooting really shows the small size of that sweet little gun…
I have the TM1000 version in .20. I’ve considered putting a stock on it for when I’m not shooting HFT. As rigged mine weighs a tad over 8 lbs. easy to shoot offhand using the taco method. This is the RAW Mini, not the Micro Hunter. The Micro Hunter uses the HM body with a magazine, has a smaller bottle, and shorter barrel, and is lighter.I have the TM1000 version in .20. Not sure the OP knows that so trying to address his specific questions.yep - aware - twin sons with a different mother.
Thanks Fella's appreciate all your input. To me it's kind of like no love, or rather not much for the Micro Hunter. I am on the fence as of now. Have been back and forth with Leah at Air Force ( Rapid Air Werqs?) for they have a non ambi that I am considering. Seems to me through all the research that the earlier ones might have had some issues? Yes, no.Not sure the OP knows that so trying to address his specific questions.
So if I'm looking for shot count and 12fpe how do I achieve that if it arrives to me at... say17fpe.I get to shoot the Micro's and Mini's and other rifles quite a lot. I love the micro for it's short length and portability. You get all of the benefits of a RAW (best trigger, reliability, accuracy, build quality) in a small package. Every time I'm walking around in the woods or in my yard, I can shoulder the Micro or maybe brace against a tree or post and hit what I'm aiming at from 30-40 yards with ease. At 12fpe to less than 20fpe it is very accurate and a joy to shoot. Trying to get 20fpe or more from the 8.5" barrel makes it harsh and loud, but I believe more power is not the intent with this rifle. If you want more power, go to the RAW Mini with the 15" barrel. Or if you want more power still, go to a full-length rifle with a 24" barrel. BrazosbyNemo expressed his pleasure in the .177 version that I turned down to 12fpe for him. The larger calibers are more efficient due to less constriction by the barrel and transfer port, so they can easily achieve up to 20fpe without being harsh.
You need to turn down the regulator to about 100-110bar, which is about 1/4 turn CCW on the reg. No need to replace with a Huma reg. I believe the RAW reg is much more consistent. So if I'm looking for shot count and 12fpe how do I achieve that if it arrives to me at... say17fpe.
How loud is the report near the gun when its tuned for 12fpe? A low fpe .177 compact gun has been on my list for awhile so would love some inputI have one in .177. Mine is left hand. I like it. I have not shot it a lot. My shooting time right now is getting a new FT rifle set up. That said it shoots good and fun. I had mine turned down to 12 fpe. My use for the rifle is more for backyard plinking and the occasional nuisance squirrel. Turning it down doubles the shot count. Second picture is a buddy of mine shooting it at deer camp. Kind of shows you how small it is. If you want a small, compact, hunting rifle you can carry all day this is it. For what ever reason I can shoot it really well offhand.

At 12fpe it’s not too loud/pretty quite. At 16fpe (the way it came to me in factory form) it had some bark and a little bit of recoil. It was actually a lot of fun to shoot like this. It made some noise (not near ear plug level) and gave you a little nudge. I was going to buy a moderator for it but at 12fpe I don’t really see the need for it now shooting around the house. I may still buy one though as it is small and light enough to take to the deer stand with me. I have a lot of squirrels hanging out around my deer stand and would like to take some out while deer hunting. Obviously I want it dead silent if I try that plan. They also look kinda cool with the moderator. It’s a really nice rifle. I have a lot of really nice rifles. Most are target oriented. I have nothing like this and fills a nitch. If a person wants a true hunting rifle that is accurate, that you can carry around all day, leave it at full power and throw a moderator on it (if noise is a concern) and you will have a killer rig. You will get around 40 shots (177) at full power which is plenty if you are out hunting. It also fits perfect in my AR15 M4 rifle case. I can put the mags, pellets, etc. in the mag pouches on the case and off I go.How loud is the report near the gun when its tuned for 12fpe?
