Epic Love the epic 2 mostly

Been 2 months and finally got this platform tuned thanks greatly to “AVS Stephen “ this dude has knowledge and patience. We got this platform in 25 cal shooting 85 FPE. 1020 FPS with 40g slugs with LW polygon barrel and 945 FPS with 42g slugs and BOTH drilled it and 50 yards. Truth be told, we struggled at 100 yards due to winds inherent to east end Long Island, ny. But I’m very confident this gun shoots. Both barrels! Same accuracy. , different slugs of course. When Steve constructs the video, I’ll try to relay it here. I will ask for assistance if I struggle. Be well shooters.

Why mostly? What has kept you from simply bonding with it, out the box? You seem to imply it took some work to get it to where you’re “mostly” happy? Did it not arrived “tuned for caliber” from the dealer…?
No, they had it set for low to mid power. Pellet setting, reg was at 90 bar I believe. We want it for slug shooting, so the reg needed to be raised up to 180 bar for us to get the desired power to push 40-44g slugs (25 cal) at the velocity that we wanted out of a 550mm barrel. There was issue with the reg, but after several attempts. The production has been nice. The barrel lead in is unusual in that when you chamber a projectile, you feel nothing, so double loading is possible. The build quality is great, feels very much like a taipan and Evol . No cheesiness at all. Now if your pretty much shooting pellets, your good to go out of box most likely with only minor adjustments needed possibly. thing is, once you learn it , this gun is pretty easy to work on, and durable.

I never sing total admiration or frown on a gun until I use it regularly for about 6 months. Many fall a bit out of favor, some rise up to never sell status. Now I'll comment down the timeline about this gun when I get more Reps with it. But I suspect this gun to be a real keeper, and most likely the first of a couple versions of this gun I will eventually own.

My REG was also set to 90 bar, and it is also a little lower than that i shoot ( 13 gr ) , BUT ! i am pea shooting the .177 caliber.
My bad start with the Two was a poor LW barrel with a huge choke in the middle, like 1/4 to 1/3 of the barrel length.

Now on CZ barrel that feel slick l8ike snot on a door knob the whole way thru the barrel, and things are looking good.

Dunno why you have wind issues, i assume CUZ you shoot in higher wind than i attempt with this little caliber, maybe also trying to shoot further.

Not dialed in at all but shot this on my last outing ( first with CZ barrel ) and on a day with for the caliber not favorable winds.
86 M / 92 yards, and as i recall 13 grain Zan slugs.

Not really " aiming " here, just put some holes in paper to take picture for seller of unusable 3" targets that do not have splatter effect in them at all.

I will have a opinion on the Two in like 2-3 months, which i feel is a relevant time frame to get under the skin of a rifle.
But like my Maverick, i have a strong feeling i can shoot a 1/2 " group at this distance,,,,, that is, when dialed in, and if i learn not to pull that last #5 shot which i often do.
