Finally got my Arken Zulus

I finally received my Zulus 5/20 LRF on Monday and was having issues with the app and not loading the ballistic table. After playing around I deleted the app, did a hard reset on my IPhone and then reinstalled the app.
The app then worked fine and my profile was loaded. I was able to get out to the range yesterday and met up with another member of Airgun Nation, Hotspark, we had a great time and I am thankful to have found another airgunner to shoot with.
The Zulus did as expected and I was extremely pleased. I have to get use to the LRF and the dial in feature. The zero process was extremely easy and only required minor adjustments. I zeroed at 35 yards and then it was off to the races.
I had initially set my ballistic table out to 75 yards and when I went to shoot at a target, 107 yards, I got a laser range finder error. I sat for a minute and then realized I needed to extend my distance. Went into the app and set distance to 120 yards and uploaded the table again.
Four shots later I hit the golf ball at 107 yards; the first three shots were just a hair off due to some windy conditions.
The weight and ease of setup, besides the app, was great.
Will definitely be getting together with HOTSPARK every week or so for some shooting and will even enter into some club shoots over the summer…

When did you order yours? I had canceled my order and bought one from somebody here on air gun nation.
Not sure if you're asking me but I ordered from Camerlandny on May 19 the non LRF version. But on the 23rd changed the order to LRF. Shipped last Friday so only took about 2-3 weeks from order to ship.

Good report, I've had mine for 2 weeks now and really like it especially the LRF. Still more profiles to load and a few tweeks hear and there.
Enjoy the

@ram2jeep That's an encouraging report. Glad you opted for the LRF version. Anxious to read more about your experience.

I did a firmware upgrade and after that I could not do a profile upload and had to delete the app and had to make up all my ballistics calculations again to upload

I ordered from ArkenUSA on the May 1. It was supposed to be delivered a week earlier but UPS lost the package and had no tracking information for six days. After I put in a ticket and was preparing to submit a claim it was found in another part of TX, about 90 miles from Arken. Total time should have been right around a month from date of order.
One of my good friends works for UPS and told me that UPS numbers are down and to save money they may be holding items so they only need to make one trip i stead of multiple trips.

I definitely feel your pain! After I deleted the app I too, as you know, had to start from scratch and load the profile(s) back in.
I chose to add just what I was shooting yesterday and will load more when I change rounds. I initially purchased the Zulus for my .35 Dynamic but ended up putting on my .22 Impact MK2 with the M3 upgrades besides the additional regulator.

My initial thoughts are positive for the Arken Zulus LRF. The initial learning curve isn’t bad but, as I found out, you need to check for software updates prior to attempting any action.
I currently own a ATN as well and can definitely say I prefer the Zulus. Why you may ask? The weight difference is significant and after understanding how to correctly navigate through the menu it is pretty easy.
I had a lot of issues with my ATN in the beginning and had to return it twice. The ATN lost zero when I turned it off and would freeze often. By the time it was working properly I stopped using it.
Having confidence in your gear is imperative to successful outings.
The Zulus is compact and contains all the necessary equipment; laser range finder and IR. I have used both and the ATN keeps multiple profiles on the scope where as the Zulus keeps one profile at a time and must be updated for a profile change. Changing reticles is easy and tapping one of the buttons allows you to go through the colors.
There are many similarities between the two but also differences. An example of a difference is profiles can be loaded directly onto an ATN while the Zulus it is done on the app and then must be uploaded.
Price is different unless you catch the Zulus on sale but this is in reference to the Zulus with the laser range finder. The ATN will require you to purchase a lrf separately or use a rangefinder which can bluetooth to the scope for the ballistic calculator to work independently or you will need to input your distance for each shot. Yes, there is a less expensive Zulus without the lrf so the comparison of the two isn’t exact because of that difference.
