I am looking to buy a new rifle. Which one of the two is more precise / accurate at 50 to 100 meter, shooting pellets?
did you actually say that the huben gk1 barrel is Chinese or did I misunderstand what you said..Having no experience with those two, but decades experience with other Chinese airguns, I'd say Chinese barrels are a crap-shoot; perhaps even in identical models. I've had multiple Chinese airguns as accurate as any airgun at any price, at least after simple gunsmithing techniques; and others come with rifling that must have been cut with a sharp rock... that needed sharpening!

FWIW, I've watched posts on the two guns you ask about, and both seem great. But it may still be a roll of the Chinese barrels dice. A hot redhead hanging on your shoulder might increase your odds.

On second thought, maybe not. Too much 'wiggle'room' for 'creative packaging'!-

What is it they say, "You can't judge a book by it's cover"?

I don't know about the production models but the very first / original had a Gamo barrel.did you actually say that the huben gk1 barrel is Chinese or did I misunderstand what you said..
I thought it was a German barrel..hard to imagine paying so much for a huben gk1 with Chinese parts.. where is the rest of the gun made? China too??
not that I can afford one but everything I have read they sound like top notch, best pistol you can buy..

Yes but I found NO comparison threads. That is why I asked one VS the other.Caliber,
Encourage archive search of both brands to find what owners have experienced. Upper right page corner search, "Airacuda Max," then, "Avenge-X." WM
With that Criteria, I would give the edge to the Avenge X. To adjust the Max, you need to disassemble it for some adjustments. The Avenger can all be done from the outside. But it will need a 4000 psi fill.I am looking to buy a new rifle. Which one of the two is more precise / accurate at 50 to 100 meter, shooting pellets?

OK, that is a bummer for that rifle. The rifle I have needs to be disassembled to adjust the regulator and I want to get away from that. So that is a cross over the Airacuda then.To adjust the Max, you need to disassemble it for some adjustments.
I've had both. Sent the air Cuda back. Sold the x on ebay for 650. The x was accurate out to 75 yards. At 50 it shot dime size groups with light 18 grain pellets. Not enough plenum for 25 grain . The 22 grain jts pellets shot best. I changed it to 25 caliber with a kit,it also was accurate out to 75,but past that accuracy faded ,well it would not cut a hole for me anymore. The issue with looking at old posts is that they are OLD..... If someone reads something from a year or two ago it may not apply to the version available today.Caliber,

My Airacuda Max has been a problem since day one. The stocks were improperly cut leaving a gap between stock and action at stock bolt so tightening bolt can warp action so magazine won't fit. Also, out-of-round shrouds are common, leaving end cap pointing in different direction than muzzle. Clipping, and destruction, of added moderators is not uncommon. WMYes but I found NO comparison threads. That is why I asked one VS the other.
Besides, a forum is there for discussion, that is part of the fun of a forum. Many of the threads in here would not be here because the topics had been discussed before.
You were lucky, Airacuda Max threads show up all the time, not many complimentary. If OP decides to go that route just going in eyes wide open is best. I have an Airacuda Max and I think it's an excellent and accurate gun, devoid of all the stuff said about it on the old threads.
