N/A JTS AirAcuda Max .22 vs Avenge-X .22

Having no experience with those two, but decades experience with other Chinese airguns, I'd say Chinese barrels are a crap-shoot; perhaps even in identical models. I've had multiple Chinese airguns as accurate as any airgun at any price, at least after simple gunsmithing techniques; and others come with rifling that must have been cut with a sharp rock... that needed sharpening!

FWIW, I've watched posts on the two guns you ask about, and both seem great. But it may still be a roll of the Chinese barrels dice. A hot redhead hanging on your shoulder might increase your odds.

On second thought, maybe not. Too much 'wiggle'room' for 'creative packaging'!-

What is it they say, "You can't judge a book by it's cover"?

did you actually say that the huben gk1 barrel is Chinese 🤔 or did I misunderstand what you said..
I thought it was a German barrel..hard to imagine paying so much for a huben gk1 with Chinese parts.. where is the rest of the gun made? China too??
not that I can afford one but everything I have read they sound like top notch, best pistol you can buy..

I don't know about the production models but the very first / original had a Gamo barrel.

Not sure if the Chinese made GK-1 uses an off-nationalitied barrel, but I doubt it. Given its accuracy, moot point anyway.

The GK-1 is in league all its own. Nothing else even comes close.

FWIW, though only one group, the 1/2" group at 40 yards (above) is 1.25 minute-of-angle; from a pellet pistol at 40 yards.

And few rimfire target pistols can average 7/8" groups at 40 yards in real, outdoor wind conditions.

Caliber,
Encourage archive search of both brands to find what owners have experienced. Upper right page corner search, "Airacuda Max," then, "Avenge-X." WM
Yes but I found NO comparison threads. That is why I asked one VS the other.

Besides, a forum is there for discussion, that is part of the fun of a forum. Many of the threads in here would not be here because the topics had been discussed before.

I am looking to buy a new rifle. Which one of the two is more precise / accurate at 50 to 100 meter, shooting pellets?
With that Criteria, I would give the edge to the Avenge X. To adjust the Max, you need to disassemble it for some adjustments. The Avenger can all be done from the outside. But it will need a 4000 psi fill.

Hmm.... Might even get this barrel.

OK, that is a bummer for that rifle. The rifle I have needs to be disassembled to adjust the regulator and I want to get away from that. So that is a cross over the Airacuda then.

As for the other posts, thanks for all. So it looks like most agree that the Avenge-X is better at longer distance.

I've had both. Sent the air Cuda back. Sold the x on ebay for 650. The x was accurate out to 75 yards. At 50 it shot dime size groups with light 18 grain pellets. Not enough plenum for 25 grain . The 22 grain jts pellets shot best. I changed it to 25 caliber with a kit,it also was accurate out to 75,but past that accuracy faded ,well it would not cut a hole for me anymore. The x is the gun to buy.

I love my 2 Max guns, they are the best beginner guns for the kids and grandkids that I own. They are bench only guns, and I'll keep them for that use.

I've smithed a few X and I'm not a fan of materials or engineering so I passed on them.

I ended up with the M60B in .22 and .25. for my multifunction, high power, long reach guns.

The Zelos is coming soon and it's just the US version of the M60.

The issue with looking at old posts is that they are OLD..... If someone reads something from a year or two ago it may not apply to the version available today.
I have an Airacuda Max and I think it's an excellent and accurate gun, devoid of all the stuff said about it on the old threads.

My Airacuda Max has been a problem since day one. The stocks were improperly cut leaving a gap between stock and action at stock bolt so tightening bolt can warp action so magazine won't fit. Also, out-of-round shrouds are common, leaving end cap pointing in different direction than muzzle. Clipping, and destruction, of added moderators is not uncommon. WM

You were lucky, Airacuda Max threads show up all the time, not many complimentary. If OP decides to go that route just going in eyes wide open is best. WM
