Air Arms Pro- Sport

The Pro Sport is such a nice looking gun and balances better than the TX. I find the cocking lever to be a bit awkward so I've never really been tempted to pay full price for one but if a walnut one popped up at the right price I'd probably hop on it. That being said I find they work a bit better as a positional gun than they do as a bench gun due to how you have to shift your body at the bench to cock them. The TX is much more fluid in that sense.

I have both cal. in the Pro Sport. Don’t get much sweeter. No bear trap like the TX. Best looking air gun hands down. The inside is as clean as it gets. Accuracy is no problem. If I saw a deal on a third I wouldn’t hesitate. Good luck. Crow
You know that breach head reminds me of a MP 40. I think it would look better with a HW 77/97 breach head/ block . Get what I'm driving at?

I shot my 200HC and Pro Sport today indoors at 50'.I was shooting reduced silhouette targets kneeling and offhand. I can't say there is much to choose one over the other. I used to not like the PS cocking arm but now it's second nature.the only part i dont like on the PS is I can't add a riser in front of the trigger to the stock .I prefer this extra height when shooting offhand due to not being the tallest guy and because
i am used to palm rests on schuetzen and smallbore rifles
So when I shoot it offhand I use a different stance and shoot well with it.

I own both rifles. The TX200 is a more ergonomic rifle and an all day shooter at 12 fpe. Stock 16 fpe made a rude rifle. Hard to cock and very abrupt shot cycle made it a short shooting session. After the Vortek kit install, the rifle is much more polite and a dream to shoot.

The Pro Sport was extremely rude at 16 fpe and I quickly detuned it with a TbT 12 fpe kit to a more manageable 11 fpe. Still hard to cock, not very ergonomic. Nice shot cycle, very accurate but loopy in .22.

They are both works of art by craftsman and I enjoy shooting them both. I favor the TX200 as it is more ergonomic and easier to shoot. My cocking arm also came off the cocking stud, I have one back ordered at PA. It just slides on, very surprising. YMMV

I have a stock full-power Pro-Sport, and it's very easy to cock -- when done correctly. Assuming you're right handed, the natural thing is to put the butt on or around your right hip when cocking it with the left hand. That's bad ergonomics. It causes your left arm to cross in front of your torso, limiting the involvement of your strongest muscles and forcing your left shoulder to over exert. Instead, move the butt to your left hip and, when you cock it, keep your left elbow from flaring out. That way your bicep and lats do most of the work, kind of like a rowing motion. I can shoot my PS all day that way.
