Has anyone used the new cocking mechanism and mag strip? Does it perform better than the straight bolt and disc mag? Also any news on a lefty model? I emailed zbroia but have not gotten a response.
That's what got me to ask the group. I don't own one, but I have shot the straight pull bolt and disc mag, it was really smooth, and the mags loaded easy. The new strip mag is 5 shots and the disc one is 10. If it were available in a left-handed offering I would be more serious about buying one.I really like the idea and look of the new system, I’ve wanted a hortitsia for awhile now and now that I saw there new mag and cocking format I’m hooked.
I would get the new Hortisia version. The lever that would rotate the magazine on this old one would sometimes get worn out and have trouble rotating the mag for the next shotHas anyone used the new cocking mechanism and mag strip? I think these are the best looking air rifles, along with Taipan, considering Taipan was Ukrainian, maybe they are related, I gave a Sapsan 450, lightweight and refined and made in Ukraine, wife approved too!I have gained some interest in the new MK3 version with the 330mm barrel but I'm a little confused about the length of the barrel and shroud. I've watched several YouTube videos on this and noticed that the shroud/barrel ends in line with the end of the air cylinder and has a muzzle thread protector on it.
If you attach a moderator that has a wider diameter than the shroud, it will not fit unless this rifle comes with 1/2×20 UNF extension adapter.

The weird thing is, if you go on Zbroia's website, the 330mm model shown has a longer barrel/shroud than the pics i referenced above. I'm wondering if Zbroia made another revision to this model or are there different models available.

I've had a Zboria about as long as anyone on here, the mag rotation lever on my Kozak [same as the old style Hortisia] has been trouble free, well since I fixed a hammer bounce problem on the early Kozaks that broke a pin that was part of the mag advance system, that problem was fixed by zbroia long ago.I would get the new Hortisia version. The lever that would rotate the magazine on this old one would sometimes get worn out and have trouble rotating the mag for the next shot
Todd, If you are in the USA, I can show to you how to easily adjust the cocking lever. If it broke, I can send one.I would get the new Hortisia version. The lever that would rotate the magazine on this old one would sometimes get worn out and have trouble rotating the mag for the next shot
I can tell you that the Sapsan is interesting, the regulator sucks, at least on mine and I'm on #2, and is almost impossible to get to. BUT and there is always a BUT, it doesn't seem to matter. It has reg creep and not a little but a whole bunch, and it doesn't matter, the POI doesn't change, but it's frustrating. JArmstrong is the expert on these things, he's my goto guy. On the Sapsan I've made the HSA adjustable from the outside, there is write up on it here somewhere. It doesn't need a moderator, it's actually quieter without one. The trigger isn't bad and strangely enough except for the regulator creep, I've had close to zero issues, luckily. Remember, these things are made in Ukraine and unless they've moved their production out you're a bit had on parts. Oh the barrels are slip in and are....interesting to swap out. Are you going to shoot 1moa at 100 yards, nope but for 30 yards or so you'll do well. The Zbroia PCPs look like they are well made . Does the barrel thread into the breech like the Taipans ?
HogKiller. Where are you located?I can tell you that the Sapsan is interesting, the regulator sucks, at least on mine and I'm on #2, and is almost impossible to get to. Just PM Jack, I won't give out his number. I'm up in Campbell CA. Yes i know you are, this one is a replacement for the one that went south with the same problem. Remember the one with the hole in the stock to adjust the hammer spring?HogKiller. Where are you located?
I might be able to help with the reg creep. I'm the North American Distributor for Zbroia. Also, may I have JArmstrong's Contact number?
