I use cheap dollar store chamois cloth to clean and wax and polish my barrel... I was just wondering if anyone else using this... It is phenomenal way to clean... No more cotton patches for me..

Seriously, you guys actually wax your barrels after every two or three shots ?
You...do...understand how soft most any type of wax is? And how just a little heat makes it even softer. Soft wax is pulled out of the barrel by...the pellets !
Seems like a lot of work for a couple of feet per second.

I use Trewax .which is a hard wax for floors.. It is heavy in carnauba .. Scott (motorhead swears by it and any help to keep the bore from leading is a help.. It is only applied when you super clean your barrel.. Apply let dry and then shoot... Bowling ally wax is also used.. I shoot a Texan .457..

Kayaker, I am doing well.. Ultrasound is a miracle!! No tremors on the right side, now I need to get the left side done ..But cataract surgery now !!

I just use old cut up cotton work shirts or towels..this is for outside of barrel. Use same for bore(t shirt) only cut up a lot smaller.

I cut some old flannel bedsheets my wife wants to throw away into like 10x10 pieces and use Ballistol for cleaning outside. For the inside of the barrel I use the same disposable small patches that I use for firearms. But I really don't need to clean inside barrels as often as firearms, if ever
