I think….most of the marks were done just getting into and through the bore. The suspect thing I see is in the photo that also has your ring in it, the land mark doesn’t look similar to all the other land marks. It could just be an artifact from trying to photograph such a small object of that size
my huben leaves very shallow lands and grooves on the pellet as well. i’m thinking it looks a lot like micro riflingHi,
Just for your comparison I pushed JSB 16.2 gr. Beast through two different .177 / 700 mm FX Superior Heavy liners some month ago.
Its clearly to see that A FX liner is a totally other barrel concept. Img. 1 is showing a pellet from the tin and after being reshaped by the liner.
When looking at the pushed through Beast - You can tell it likes speed - I shoot them at 1020 fps in my redwolf with excellent accuracy out to about 100 yards.
I tried earlier also pushing a JSB beast .177 through my Avenger barrel and that looks similar to your result. But thoughtful is how much the FX liner transforms the pellet into looking more like a slug. (Both FX liners shoots perfect both when shooting pellets and slugs - Especially ZAN 13 - 16 and 20 gr.)
I agree interesting to see a JSB Beast through more different rifles / Barrels....
Best regards

Those look huge to me. But I know nothing. Simply my opinion. Looking to learn.

i dont think the barrel has a choke. just a really deep rifling grooves. looks similar to my crosman barrel when i slugged it out of curiosity a while back except my crosman didnt rough it up this much. How did the pellet feel going thru the barrel ? loose in spots, tight all the way, choke, the grooves look like a tight choke
How does it shoot?PUSHED a pellet through the breach and out the barrel.
Thoughts on how it looks?

It’s HARD to load a pellet. Impossible for any weight slug as they don’t squish like a pellet. You can’t fully seat a king heavy unless I use as seating pin. And it’s still tough. How does it shoot?
Ok good info, but does it shoot a decent group on paper? It’s HARD to load a pellet. Impossible for any weight slug as they don’t squish like a pellet. You can’t fully seat a king heavy unless I use as seating pin. And it’s still tough.
Once the pellet gets through the super tight breech, the barrel is a snug fit 90% of the way through the barrel. A slightly loser place . The choke is tight. But NOTHING like the breech.
I did put a crown on the breech since this test. That makes it much better to seat a pellet. But I’m thinking the breech needs polished down some.
