Just wanted to say thanks

There are definitely some very reliable and honorable people here who go over the top in their transactions and it's good to be reminded not to take people like this for granted.

I recently almost got scammed twice on here. I reported the first and it came to light the acooint had been hacked and I got lucky because I sniffed him out.

Second one reached out, again for my WTB listing for the air arms s410. He offered a NIB thumbhole s510 for 800 saying he needed to get some money quick. I had just bought 2 huntsmans so funds were tight and I said not at this time but thank you.

Fast forward to this morning. I moved off some study and had the funds for the gun. I went to my messages and noticed he now has a negative feed back. He scammed another member, a newer member.

The feedback said they agreed, he sent funds. Then seller asked for more on the shipping and now he's ghosting them.

So again, I thank all of you good people that still exist in the world. I've had many pleasant experiences with many of you. Trades, sales, etc.


Also, thanks for putting up with my dark humor I have sometimes and my pre coffee rage rants on the weekends! It's never my intention to offend or piss anyone off.

From where i come, granted a somewhat rough place.
Well the most precious possession a man / woman have is his / her word, and as a consequence of that his / her integrity.

This is probably also why i so often get infuriated by the work of journalists, and let us not forget politicians " creative " use of words.
And it is so normal now that some times i catch myself in the act, which is not at all as fun as catching others.

meum dictum pactum (no not the stock exchange, wouldn't trust them) was the standard back when all the airgun ads were printed up and mailed out to those who knew aiguns. Could just be me but heck 10 years ago it seemed that way. A "deal" is a deal, buyer or seller period -was and should be-.
WE all used postal M/O's or cash. Everyone remember mailing $1,300 green backs to to the UK (only method he allowed) to John for a springer?
Have listed a few times here and had a "few: good deals but unfortunately several times as much B.S. sthuff one way or another. Ya never know but these day's I stick with the oldest airgun classifieds in the world (think that's the phrase?). May limit you to old timers but for me that is good as if it's any old timer we should at least know some mutual airgun friend. And it always a pleasure speaking with them on the phone. Listed one there a couple if weeks ago, only one response (he is also a member here) quick easy simple question he had which I honestly responded to and he decided he did not need my exact airgun based on what he was looking for and my honest answer AND he was thoughtful enough to let me know that so no question about leaving the ad up or .... .
Much prefer not making a sale and dealing with no crap of any kind over dealing with countless people with new email address, screen names rip ripemoff or any thing of the such.
Wish you wanted a .177. (kidding)

Its getting worse every day, the Airgun Warrior forum classifieds is getting to be full of scammers. It definitely takes the fun out of buying/selling when you have to worry about lazy jerk offs trying to steal your money or air rifle.
