Impact M4 Buying Experience.. A Little Disappointed :( - UPDATED RESOLUTION

So, my Birthday was July 20th and it's the big 60th this year so although I really didn't need it, curiosity on the new features and Copper color of the new M4 had me pulling the trigger to treat myself.
I purchased a compact .22 because I prefer the short bullpups from "a California based dealer" the week before my B-Day and it actually arrived on my "Big Day", I was so Happy :)... then I opened
the case. Gun was absolutely beautiful and blew me away but then I noticed a few things were missing from what I was expecting. There was no Manual, no Foster fitting. and the most disappointing
thing... No Moderator. So, I reached out to the dealer to figure out why. I was told "The M4 doesn't come with a manual, we don't include the Foster fitting because no one really uses it, and they
weren't sure why I didn't get a moderator" but asked that I call back on Monday to follow up. So, I called back on Monday and was told "The Compact doesn't come with a Moderator but they would
source a manual from the distributor if they could get one and forward it along". To clarify my expectations, I'm basing my "Disappointment" on the "Getting Started with the new M4" video posted on
social media (YouTube) from the distributor. In that video the spokesperson for the distributor opens the case on a new M4 and pulls each item out of the case stating "This is what comes with the gun".
The items the spokesperson notes are #1- The Manual, #2 - The Foster Fitting, and #3 - The gun with the new FX Moderator attached. So then I started looking through all the advertisement online
both written and video from every source I could find. No where does it state that the new moderator doesn't come with the Compact setup. So, I reached out to the distributor, explained that I had
just received the new M4 from an authorized dealer and was curious why I didn't receive all of the items they (the distributor) advertised came with the purchase of the gun. Specifically I asked "Does
the new M4 purchased in compact configuration not come with a moderator?" The response, "Hmmm I honestly don't know" really bothered me. I responded that no where in the advertisements does it
state that the compact configuration doesn't include a moderator and requested they (the distributor) look into it and get me a definitive answer. Just to clarify that I'm not whining about a trivial
detail, this gun cost me $2000 + $90 shipping + CA tax totaling a full purchase price of $2243.99, for a Compact with the shortest barrel and 300cc CF bottle. I fully understand and agree that the Standard
600mm and Sniper 700mm with longer barrels and larger bottles are higher priced. Call me crazy but for that amount of money for a compact I expected a gun with ALL the factory accessories including
the damn moderator. Am I wrong here in my expectations? Does it state anywhere in advertisement that the compact doesn't include All the factory accessories? Would I even use the new FX Moderator?
Maybe not... BUT I PAID FOR IT! So, I'm still waiting for a definitive answer from the "Distributor" on whether or not a Compact purchase includes a moderator, no response as of the writing of this post.
I'm hoping for the responsible and courteous solution, all the missing accessories are sent to me or at the very least a correction in advertising that clearly states "What's in the box" for each configuration.

Do You agree?

No your not crazy for that price the dealer should have just gave you what thought you should have and worked it out on his end from a sales point of vuew i would feel like a fool telling customer i dont know give up the goods figure it out so dont happen to someone else

I agree with you.

But, you watched the video from a distributor, but purchased from a dealer.
Are they the same people? Or was the dealer offering the same deal as the distributor?
What is supposed to come from FX with the gun?
I didn't "Name Names" of the Dealer or Distributor so it didn't appear I was "Company Bashing". Any shop, physical or online, that sells FX Guns and accessories is a "Dealer". Doesn't matter what Dealer it was, they are all held to
the same rules for selling FX Products. Minimum pricing is "Fixed" across the board for all Dealers, although some do charge more for the same item.. I just don't buy from those. If you are familiar with the FX Brand, we ALL know who
the "Distributor" is... there is only one place in the USA authorized as the US FX "Distributor". I'm not calling anyone out by name because it serves no purpose. They know who they are and if by chance they read this post they will
appreciate I didn't "Bash" their company. It's not a resolved issue yet, I'll give them a fair chance to step up and do the "Right Thing" before it gets ugly.

I agree but being in sales for 23 years as company that by the way makes a fortune i always follow the rule take care of the customer asap you can afford to figure it out later, when a customer is left wondering it can leave a bad taste in there mouth treat every customer as if you only have one chance with them if you do you will always win.

Not that it relates to your position/issues at all but 20 years ago on dealer was well known to keep some included accessories and for that reason most folks in the know purchased elsewhere.
Moderator who knows, but thing like magazine, some fill adapter , I think every airgun should come with.
Curious (and not that it means a thing) I glanced a just some model M4 at pyramydair (PA) and noted they include at least "Male Quick Disconnect fitting".

Included in price or not it is nice to know what you can expect from a purchase, and up to the customer to ask if you need/want/desire something not mentioned at all.
Yup.

I agree. I'd tell'em if you don't send me all you advertised that it comes with then I'm returning it. When you spend that kind of money it is truly ****ing annoying when people give you answers like "I don't know" ...well why not? Know you're freaking products damnit

For me personally, the main thing that pisses me off is "They" launch a video over all social media platforms stating "This is what comes with the new model" then you order it only to discover
after you've received it "Hidden" exclusions that are not documented anywhere. Go to any FX Dealers website, click on any configuration for the new M4, and no where does it state "Does not
include moderator for this configuration". It's just wrong they make up the "Rules" as they go along. THAT'S MY ISSUE. :)

Tom

I agree with you "td", wholeheartedly. I have faith in the presumption that someone will make it "right" for you. Maybe someone made a last minute decision to omit the accessories originally promised. Many markets are going that route since accessories are a whole other "cash cow". I don't see the significance here since FX is a top brand that has a VERY strong cult following. Why would they disappoint? They'd just be taking value away from the product, the price point and the brand name. How many folks would just buy at a different price point if they had to finish building it and be at or under THEIR retail price? In my opinion, for 2k, I had better be able to simply take it out of the box, shoot it happily and worry about accessories later. The accessories should be upgrades, not necessities.
I will stay tuned for any updates you may have. Good luck, Sir!

OP, it's very difficult for me to read your posts because of the formatting, but you might at least say where you purchased the airgun from, if that's not a state secret.

Anyway, here's the M4's specs from FX's website @ 'Muzzle' it says "shroud and moderator DEPENDING on the country" with the word "variations" or "without" in your case. Then I went to a few American airgun sellers and saw it pictured without a moderator, so I understand your expectation there, it's confusing. And that it didn't include a fill probe is unacceptable to me, I've seen many people with that complaint, some have even said they couldn't find a source for this-or-that brand's probe.

This topic got me thinking. I’ve purchased five Impacts since 2021. A couple were compacts. Only one came with a mod. And only one other one came with a 1/2” thread protector. Not all came with a foster extension. I can’t remember if my last couple came with a manual. But I was getting sloppy and complacent with what the manufacturers were feeding me. Since this DRS fiasco, I’m a changed man. Not tolerating anything anymore. You go @tdhouser1964. I’m with you.

Thanks for all the support from the forum, it's pretty clear we all have the same opinion. So to update you all, Ryan Jacobson from Utah Airguns (the US Distributor of FX Air rifles) reached out to me via email to "Make it Right".
Important notes from that conversation - A "Hard Copy" manual for the M4 is NOT included in the case. It is available for download from the FX Website. To clarify my point, I did respond that the UA "Getting Started with the M4"
advertising video clearly shows the spokesperson pulling a manual out of the case, and stating "Here's the manual". It's deceptive and the root of some of the confusion when I received my order. 2nd - He stated that it has been
"Standard Practice" that a moderator is not included with an FX gun purchased in Compact configuration. To clarify my side I again pointed out that information is no where to be seen when you order a gun from any Dealer/Website
and that it "Should" be clearly noted before you push the "Purchase Button". On a side note I just realized how ridiculous it is NOT to include a moderator with a Compact when experience has taught anyone that has ever owned one
that Short guns are louder than Long guns. Kinda Funny actually. In my closing remarks to Ryan I just wanted to impress upon him the importance of when a mistake or misunderstanding occurs, as they always will, the single most
important thing is to Correct The Mistake / Clarify the Misunderstanding so it doesn't happen again. Leaving it uncorrected is irresponsible in business and life. So there we have it.. UA is sending me everything missing from the purchase
including the new moderator.. "Even though I'm not supposed to get one" Lol :) Thanks Ryan, Great Follow Up!

Glad they handled it, that alone makes me think that the next order I make for any new pcp air rifle or gear may be through them. Might have a new customer here.

Just make sure you know EXACTLY what to or not to expect with your purchase. Get it in writing if possible. Glad they're rectifying the OP's problem but doesn't mean the same misunderstanding/miscommunication won't occur again to another unsuspecting buyer.
