GX CS2 Mini Mini-Review: JUNK!

So I just got this GX CS2 Mini and plugged it into my new Avenger Bullpup, it got up to 3,000 PSI and burst a disk, then kept bursting them, even two at a time, so it's going straight back to Bezos. Well, at least I can test this bullpup to some degree for now.

Like I said, this is a mini-review for a mini hunk of junk. Darn, I'm getting sick of these compressors failing.

Hey, nobody is murdering anyone here, we are all friends here, right? Sharing experiences and giving each other friendly advice ;).

I've never had such bad luck. I'd such big expectations, saw so many good reviews and videos, but it lasted literally five minutes. So do I order another GX Mini because I've seen lots of good things said about them, or do I go with another brand?

And there's nothing I've done wrong, there was no pressure spike, there's no leaks or blockages in the line. The Vevo I returned just before, same thing, burst discs for no reason. So I'm flummoxed. That's how bad it is for me, I'm beyond stumped, vexed, or even annoyed. Flummoxed.

I have used a GX CS3 for 3 years now with ZERO issues, thankfully! Your CS2 might have just been a lemon? Maybe order 1 more & see. Or better yet, if finances allow, try a CS3- mine always fills to 4500psi, never had 1 problem with it.

But I'll you, King, my Tuxing (TXEDT032) compressor with internal water tank & pump blows my CS3's performance out of the water. What took 8 hours with the fan-cooled CS3 takes minutes with the Tuxing! And it's infinitely more quit- albeit cost $800 on Amazon. In my opinion, brother, worth it go with this compressor over fan-cooled ones.

Lmao to your reply- but in all seriousness, that's probably exactly what you need to do. Keep ordering from Amazon (& returning, which as you stated, is on them) as needed until you get a "good one." And maybe consider the GX CS3, or even just avoiding all the potential headaches with purely fan-cooled compressors & just dive into a Tuxing. I know a lot of others on this site really like this particular compressor, too- but it is a big financial outlay. But often less than 1/2 of what similar & even lesser compressors go for on popular Airgun retail websites.

I dunno but that's gotta tell you that you are doing something wrong.

I can assure you that is a minority happening and opinion. Most gx pumps are rock solid. If you aren’t giving up altogether on compressors I would either go all in on something like an alkin or try another gx. Really the feedback on them is overwhelmingly good. I’ve had mine almost a year and a half and it’s been great.

How is changing the burst disk and then running it into a dead head wrong? And when I initially opened up the burst housing, it was full of aluminum filings. All I did wrong was buy a piece of junk with no QC. And for instance, they ship Tuxings with no oil, that says they don't run them before shipping, they leave the QC up to the customer. I've seen a lot of reviews on those expensive Tuxings that failed moments after first starting them up. All of these compressor brands are likely made in the same general region in China, perhaps even in the same labor camp.
