Equipment ? yeah !

Outside the basement and under the screen porch is my shooting table . The ground is clay dust and stone and is not level SOOOO ! I am now in the process of leveling the ground and then i have 4 horse mats to put down making a better place to shoot and a lot less dust to track in . (4 mats =8 ft. x 12 FT ) the only downside is ,
I didn't count on the weight of a mat = 97 LBS each , at least they will not blow away .
Stan in KY.

Horse mats is the way to go! I use horse mats in my home gym, in garage, and outside on my concrete porch. They are great. But I remember buying them and loading them in my car (well on the roof racks of my car) and it was hell of a job, they are HEAVY. My car's suspension dropped to the ground. I was barely able to drive them back home :ROFLMAO:. They last forever and provide excellent surface protection.

@beerthief I hardly ever shoot on level ground. How’d the ground leveling and horse mats work out for you?
they worked extremely well . My leveling job can use a bit of work . After i put the mats down the ground settled a bit , still nice to walk on and my shoes do not pick up the dirt like before .

@beerthief How'd you level the area?
shovel / rake and a 2x4 with a level . the area is two horse mats or 8 feet long x 6 feet wide
